JUNE 04, 2013 - INDIA - Was it a spy drone from across the border? Was it a weather balloon? Was it a UFO?
Samudra Tapu, a de-glaciated valley in Himachal Pradesh; A 12-km, eight-hour trek from Chandratal, is approachable only via a 180-km deep trek from Batal, the nearest road head on the Manali-Leh highway. Kaksar, 70 km away, is the nearest inhabited town.
Tucked away high in 15,000-ft glaciated mountains, Chandratal, the only sacred lake in the Lahaul-Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh, has for long been steeped in mythology. Legend has it that the crescent-shaped pristine water body is an abode of fairies that descend on Earth on moonlit nights.
But the glacier-bound uninhabited terrain has come to be associated with an equally incredible tale doing the rounds in India's top space and defense establishments; the sighting of an unidentified flying object or UFO at the Samudra Tapu region, a de-glaciated valley at an eight-hour trek from Chandratal.
More than a year after a five-member team of glaciologists and geologists had a 40-minute encounter with a balloon-shaped object straight out of The X-Files; the incident continues to baffle a section of the Indian scientific community.
Both Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and the army are aware of the matter which figured even in Parliament last year when the minister of state with the Prime Minister's Office had, in a written reply, confirmed the ISRO report on the UFO sighting.
It was the penultimate day of a week-long expedition undertaken by Ahmedabad-based Space Application Centre (SAC) of ISRO on September 27, 2004.
The team comprising three SAC scientists and two geologists had pitched camp in the valley some 17,000 ft. above sea level. They were studying the Chandra basin glacier using satellite data.
Around 6.45 a.m., as the scientists were preparing to leave their tents, one of the porters spotted a white object on top of an adjacent mountain ridge, and screamed: "Sir, the snow man is coming."
Anil Kulkarni, a senior ISRO scientist who has been mapping glaciers for a quarter century, and his team members saw what appeared to be a robot floating a few inches above the ground, approaching the camp along the mountain slope. Kulkarni and his co-researcher, geologist Sunil Dhar, pulled out their digital cameras and began shooting the object even as the team raced towards the mountain to investigate.
The oblong object, between 3 and 4 ft. high, kept moving down the slope towards the team. It had a cylindrical head with two balloon-type attachments, a body, hands and two legs. It seemed to be walking, planting and pacing its steps like a human being, recalls Dhar.
It seems when the object reached the lower edge of the hill, 50 meters away from the stunned scientists, the team members' excitement alarmed it. It stood still for a few seconds, turned and started a steep 70-degree ascent towards the ridge top.
By this time, apparently due to the rays of the rising sun, its colour had changed to black. Soon it changed to white again, hovered above the camp for five minutes before noiselessly receding into a white dot in the sky.
Ever since 1947 when businessman Kenneth Arnold sparked off a worldwide UFO mania reportedly spotting flying discs, thousands of fake sightings have been reported from across the globe.
It would have also been easy to write off the Samudra Tapu sighting as a mistaken aerial phenomenon except that it was observed and reported by a group of scientists willing to stick out their necks and reputations to swear by what they saw.
From the photographs, the UFO looks like a bunch of balloons caught in a mountain draft, but an SAC report claims the object displayed complex maneuverability. It is a riddle beyond human perception, says Dhar who, along with Kulkarni, has contacted robotic labs across the world to determine what is technologically possible in unmanned flying vehicles.
It didn't look like a man-made object, adds geologist Rajesh Kalia. Even more incredible is the photographic evidence; among the first in India for a UFO sighted on the ground of the experience classified as a close encounter of the first kind in common UFO parlance.
Was it an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) on a cross-border spy mission or an extraterrestrial being? Or was it simply a helium-filled weather balloon which had lost its way? The jury is still out.
The scientists circulated the account of their close encounter in ISRO, army headquarters, Snow and Avalanche Study Establishments (SASE), an affiliate of Defence Research and Development Organisation which runs weather monitoring stations in high altitude regions, and among district authorities in Kullu. The army and SASE are the only agencies stationed in high altitude areas.
I thought it was a helium balloon, but Kulkarni's description indicates an object with ahead-of-age technology, says R.N. Sarwade, director, SASE.
Perplexed, the scientists are now wondering if it could be something man-made. But there is no known matching technology yet in the civilian realm to explain the mysterious object we saw so up close, says Kulkarni.
Over the past year, Kulkarni and Dhar have been critically examining their sighting to deconstruct the object technologically, contacting top robotic laboratories in the US, Germany and Sweden.
Kulkarni has shared his report with the director general of military operations. Efforts to demystify the Samudra Tapu UFO sighting have made little headway, given the sheer high altitude, heavy snow cover and peculiar weather conditions which render the snowbound region virtually inaccessible for both air and ground expeditions.
But the quest for demystifying the sighting has not stopped. One way to understand the mysterious object is to undertake more expeditions in the area, says Dhar.
But the question is whether the object will ever be sighted again? Unless the sighting is repeated, it will remain a puzzle, says Kulkarni. Till that happens, this is an enigma scientists may have to live with. - INDIA TODAY.

The EHA group (a group of open-minded crop circle enthusiasts) is offering any team of human circlemakers 100,000 pounds to reproduce the Galaxy formation of Aug 12, 2001 (see image above).
The challenge issued on July 1, 2012 has yet to have any takers. Stringent conditions apply to recreate the formation which consisted of 409 individual circles spanning a diameter of 900 feet which came down on top of Milk Hill during a heavy night of rain. (That's 68 seconds per circle perfectly executed over a six hour period of darkness).
Conditions include for example:
1. Inside the crop circle there must be no footprints;
2. Inside the crop circle there must be no broken stems;
3. The crop circle must be geometrically blameless. (To meet the condition "a) no footprints", the field where the crop circle has been made must be either soaking wet or previously watered with a water cannon.)
Rule 11 states: No Extraterrestrial being or ET vehicle is allowed to assist in the creation of the crop circle. They are however welcome to witness the procedure and park their vehicles in the nearby field.

I was reading this article about how, in 1976, 2 Iranian air force pilots using our F4 jet came upon some object with flashing red/green/blue/orange lights and they tried to approach it but it jammed them and disabled their weapon systems. I really don't give too much credibility to wikipedia as anyone can edit their information. Evidence that these 'things' unidentified flying objects, jam weapon systems, effected the electromagnetic interference on 2 planes, the public saw this as well as the pilots= DOESN'T LOOK LIKE A HOAX.
Strange phenomena, if our ignorance doesn't kill mankind, we will probably possess this kind of controversial technology (hypothetically) in 2300+. Where did I get that number from? Good question.

Sighting 1 - 11/3/13 between 6:15 - 6:30pm EST. I first noticed an extremely bright white light over the Dayton Mall area while driving home. Once I arrived, I got out the binoculars and observed this was no airplane or helicoptor. It was quite large and changed shape. It changed between a mushroom shape and a circular shape with a definitive pattern inside. The pattern had a large circle in the middle with smaller circles radiating out like spokes on a wheel. There was no sound heard. Sighting 2 - 11/5/13 between 6:15 - 6:30pm EST. I was outside seeing my wife off to work and then moving my car into the driveway,when there it was again. An extremely bright white light in the same vicinity. I got out the binoculars again and saw the samething. This time I got the camera. It is a Nikon Cool pix with a 15x wide optical zoom. What I saw through the camera was completely different to what I saw with the binocs. It looked like two soup laddles tied togther, kind of like the shape of an 8 and it was slowly tumbling end over end. The pics however came out like squiggly lines. It moved away in a SW direction. No sound heard.

The Northern Territory is famous for its UFO activity especially in the dry season which brings clear skies and alien sightings every year... particularly in the NT News.
But the abduction of Territorians for breeding purposes is a disturbing new development:
Mr Ferguson said many abductees recalled lying on a table under bright lights during their time on motherships.
"Some remember being dazed and seeing entities in little grey suits walking around them."

1957 BRAZIL UFO HEALING CASE
by Brent RaynesOn the night of October 25, 1957, in Petropolis, Brazil, a young girl suffering from terminal stomach cancer and who appeared to be on the verge of death, was surrounded by her family and loved ones when her room became lit up by a powerful light that originated from a mysterious object outside. Two dwarfish humanoid figures emerged from the object and entered the house. They approached the girl and with strange instruments proceeded to seemingly treat her medically, and reportedly after about 30 minutes they left, leaving the girl completely cured.
Though the identity of the family was not revealed, Anazia Maria, the family's maid, gave this report to Brazilian journalist Joao Martins:
"The daughter of my employer suffered from cancer of the stomach. She suffered considerably, and I was employed to serve as a sort of governess, and to assist the Senorita Lais, the daughter with cancer.
"She had been given many and diverse treatments to control the cancer, but the doctors had said there was no hope. In August of 1957 my employer sent the whole family to a small farm near Petropolis, hoping his daughter would improve in the better climate. But the days passed with no improvement. Lais could no longer eat and her suffering was horrible and became worse every day. She was given constant injections of morphine to control the pain.
"I remember the night of 25 October very well. We expected her to die as the pains of Senorita Lais were terrible. The injections seemed to have no effect. Her father was singing a verse when suddenly a strong bright light came on to one side and shown directly on the house. We were all in the room of Senorita Lais whose window was situated exactly on the side of the house from which the light came. The only light inside was a small lamp at the head of the bed.
"LOOK,' cried Julinho, a brother of the dying girl, as he ran to the window and saw a disc-shaped machine there in the light. It was not very big, and I am not learned enough to be able to say what its diameter might be or its height. I know that it was not very big. The upper part was enveloped in a luminescence of a yellowish-reddish color.
"Suddenly, a port automatically opened in the object and two small beings emerged. They came toward the house while a third one remained in the port of the disc. I noticed on the interior (of the disc) through the port I could see a green light dimly like can be seen in 'night clubs.'
"The 'humans' came into the house. They were short, about 1.20 meters tall, smaller than a younger son of my employer who was 10 years old. They had large heads on top of their shoulders, reddish ears, small slanted eyes (like Chinese), but their skin was a vivid green!
"They had something on their hands that I thought were gloves. Their suits were white and seemed to be thick. The chest, the sides and the cuffs shined brightly. I do not know how to explain. They came up to the side of Senorita Lais, who moaned in pain, eyes wide open, and not understanding anything that was going on around her. Nobody moved or spoke in the terrible tension. I was there in the room with Sr. X and his wife, Sr. Julinho and his wife, and Otavinho, the younger son of my employer.
"Those 'humans' looked at me silently and stood at the side of the bed and Lais placing the instruments that they carried on the top of the milky coverlet. They made a gesture towards my employer, and one of them placed his hand on the forehead of Sr. X and 'discussed' the case of Senorita Lais with a bluish light that showed all of her interior. We saw all there was inside the belly of the girl. With another instrument that emitted a noise, 'he' pointed it in the direction of the stomach of Lais and we could see the cancer. This operation lasted about a half hour. Then Senorita Lais went to sleep and 'they' left. But before leaving the house, they communicated with Sr. X telepathically that he would have to give her medicine during one month. Then 'they' gave him a sphere made of stainless steel-like metal which contained some 30 small white pills. She was to be given one per day and she would be cured.
"Lais later returned to her doctor who verified that her cancer had been cured.
"Lais was condemned to die of cancer of the stomach and in spite of this she was saved by an instrument that looked like a flashlight, that emitted rays that 'dissolved' the cancer, and she survived. They saved Senorita Lais and the same night returned to the flying machine and were gone."

Huge Circular Ufo With White Lights Beaming In All Directions Over Ottawa Ontario

Time: Approx: 9:45 p.m.
Saw almost the same thing in Ottawa, Ontario on September 26th, 2012 at around 9:45 p.m. Huge circular object in the sky, white lights beaming in all directions with two green lights.
Looked way to big to be an airplane. It was just hovering with no sound. I was driving looking at it them and it was hidden behind trees and buildings. When I saw open sky again it was gone.
