Hi, my friend and her grandson saw red lights in the sky on New Years Eve 2012 between 11:45 p.m. and midnight.
They were too high and slow moving to be fireworks.
My friend does not believe in UFOs, but she saw this. Could it be satellites? Others in the neighborhood saw them as well. I live in San Jose, CA.

AZTEC - The tall tale has it that 60 years ago this month, a UFO crashed in Hart Canyon, north of Aztec. Supposedly there were charred alien bodies aboard the craft, which was knocked out of the sky by a radar beam.
The Aztec Library began telling this story 11 years ago to raise money for a new building. With the story came national attention and the start of an annual UFO symposium.
The Aztec UFO Symposium opens Friday with a speakers meet-and-greet dinner. It will continue Saturday with internationally known speakers and vendors at the Aztec Masonic Lodge, 1020 N. Aztec Blvd.
The symposium began humbly with the work of Leanne Hathcock, librarian, and Scott Ramsey, a UFO investigator from North Carolina. Ramsey became a patron and assisted in finding reputable speakers.
"We've always been blessed with really good speakers, but this year is really exceptional," Ramsey said.
Since first reading about the March 1948 crash in a book, Ramsey has requested sealed documents, interviewed witnesses and worked on his own manuscript with the help of his wife, Suzanne Ninos, formerly of Farmington. The couple will present recent findings on the crash at the symposium.
"I always come to give new updates on Aztec," he said.
One of those updates includes interviews with friends and relatives of the late Rev. Autrey Brown, of the Mancos Baptist Church. Ramsey recently was contacted by a couple who knew Brown and his story of contact with military personnel after the reported crash of a saucer in Aztec.
"He called his closest friends together and talked about the commotion on Hart Canyon Road. He said he saw the craft, the bodies, and he was there when the military swore them to secrecy," Ramsey said.
Ramsey receives e-mails each week and follows up on the leads.
He recently received 268 documents from the FBI. Those were papers he previously was told did not exist. "They withheld 123 documents in the interest of national security," Ramsey said.
Other speakers include internationally known ufologist Stanton Friedman; Jesse Marcel Jr., whose father was one of the military officers at the purported Roswell crash; Timothy Good, of England, speaking on military intelligence and UFOs; Ted Phillips, a top investigator of physical trace evidence around UFOs; James Carrion, director of the International Mutual UFO Network; Duane Tudahl, producer of the History Channel's "UFO Files"; and Ken Storch, a law enforcement officer.
"The reason (the symposium remains successful) is we stick to our guns and bring in qualified scientific speakers," Ramsey said.
Friedman is a member of the scientific community, a nuclear physicist by profession. He believes interstellar travel is possible at the speed of light and that it doesn't take as long as some scientists say. He argues that the scientific community allows the government to hide the truth about space flight, flying saucers and extraterrestrials.
This will be the topic of his lecture and new book, "Flying Saucers and Science," published by New Page Books.
"The book is sort of my magnum opus," Friedman said. "I take off on the SETI movement. I call it Silly Effort to Investigate.'"
He will talk about press coverage of UFO sightings and opinion polls surrounding UFOs and life on other planets, which Friedman insists exists. In classrooms and at lectures, Friedman said "typically 10 percent of people think they saw a UFO, but very few report them."
Friedman said he is not a "closet ufologist," and most people do take him seriously.
"I've had 11 hecklers in 700 lectures," he said.
The meet-and-greet dinner Friday is 15 a person. Entrance to the two-day symposium is 30 per person or 20 for students and seniors. The police, military, firefighters and EMTs receive free admission.

I was performance TV at clear-cut 12:00 a.m. and heard a very, very loud advantage of a helicopter, so loud that I felt the crave to go get out and investigation. For example I went get out I saw a helicopter a propos my inhabitant at a very high fastness, it was by it was benevolent it all it had. I continued to watch it, and as it flew allegation over my house I was able to see 2 cigar twisted objects that were searing blue bearing in mind what looked by red lights at their tails, the helicopter was flying very cap at the rear as if it were chasing them! I was song able to see the UFOs for about 10 - 20 seconds as they were passing over my house, subsequently they seemed to vanish! All the same I was able to see the helicopter's lights at a keep back way ahead of time and after passing over my be given.

CHUPACABRAS HAD FANGS, CLAWS AND WINGS.
Did a legendary chupacabras kill 35 sheep in the Mexican town of Paracuaro? That's what local citizens want to know as they ponder the mysterious deaths of their farm animals.
According to the UFO Chronicles website, the Mexican state Michoacan's Diario ABC reported that the unfortunate sheep were slain in the wee hours of March 1 with their bodies displaying claw and tooth injuries, especially under the neck.
One man who was looking after the sheep in their pens said he saw the creature responsible for the attacks. He reportedly said it had fangs, claws and wings.
The enclosure where the sheep lived also included cows, horses and pigs, which apparently weren't injured in the attack.
TCC - I think this is the first Winged Chupacabra report...at least in 2012. I wonder if this is something new or just some kind of misidentification.

During my Spring Break of 1977 my family and three other families from the neighborhood I grew up in traveled to a Holiday Inn in Navarre Beach. My mother had told me it was a newly opened hotel. It had an indoor pool, arcade, gift shop, deli, and small movie theatre. For its day it was considered to be a very nice place and my family went to this hotel three times. During our second visit in August of 1977 the film Jaws II was being filmed at Navarre and I even got to see the mechanical Jaws stored with other movie equipment and props in the eastern portion of the hotel parking lot. During this spring break vacation around late March of 1977 there was a special showing of the film Bugsy Malone where only children were permitted to attend. It was during the film that I started to feel a bit disoriented. I heard some other children crying and I heard the sound of someone throwing up. At one point in the film I got up from my chair to leave, but I was quickly escorted back to my chair by an usher in a black suit and black hat. I saw one or maybe two more men in black suits at the back of the theatre. After the film was over I felt just fine and I never did complain to anyone about that experience. One evening on this vacation I awoke and sat up in my bed. I looked across the room and could see a group of small figures in the dimly lit room. My brother was asleep to my right and my parents were asleep in the bed to my left. The feeling I felt was something I had felt before which I immediately recognized. It was a feeling I only have felt when the Greys were near. I thought Its been a while. And to a young boy about to turn 7 it had been over 2 years since his last encounter with the Greys. So it had felt like a long time. But then I could not move and one of the figures moved towards me very fast and the last thing I recalled were its big black eyes very close to my face and a wand like object being pointed at me. Then there was blackness. The next thing I recall was being in the sand dunes away from the hotel in a circle of children. I must have been one of the youngest because I was the shortest. But my attention was more on the blue object directly over us that had a glowing blue light all about it. The closest thing Ive seen to this shade of blue would be that of the blue glow of Cherenkov radiation that Ive only seen from photos. Then there was blackness. The next morning was a Saturday, and I was watching cartoons. It was not till I was watching TV that I then recalled that nights experience with the greys and of seeing the blue glowing sphere above me and the other children. I then told one of the other children that were traveling with us on this trip about my experience that night and she did not believe me. I also recall walking around the hotel later that day and then getting up the nerve to tell my older brother who also teased me.
