I've been looking at an atlas this morning, trying to figure out the conundrum of the "Wingless Sky Monster!", first reported here a few days ago. Like Dr. Hynek before me, I am troubled by the discrepancies between the time the flaming cylinder appeared in the sky in the Eastern Time Zone and the time it appeared in the sky in the Central Time Zone. Although the sightings are commonly reported as having taken place an hour apart, they seem to have taken place two hours apart, "if the witnesses all reported the times correctly for their individual time zones." And since there's no reason to assume that they didn't, we can thus assume that there were two hours between the sightings in Macon, Georgia (1:45 EDT) and Montgomery, Alabama (2:45 CDT).
But, if the "Wingless Sky Monster!" was really traveling at 700 miles an hour, as two trained observers reported separately, then it only would have taken the "WSM!" about 20 minutes, give or take a few, to traverse the distance between Macon and Montgomery.
What does that mean? It means the "WSM!" had about an hour and forty minutes to kill between sightings. Now, what could a 700 mph wingless rocket do in an hour forty?
"Anything it wants to!"
At 700 miles per hour, the WSM! could cover nearly 12 miles in a minute. That means it could cover nearly 1,200 miles in the hour and forty minutes between sightings. That's a quick jaunt of 600 miles out and 600 miles back for those crafty aliens.
Where did they go?
Looking at the atlas, I can see many possible destinations:
* New Orleans, for some coffee and beignets?
* Miami, for some beach time?
* St. Louis, to fly under the arch?
* Nashville, to hear some country ">You know what they say: "Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar." But then, other times, a cigar is a UFO!

UFO SIGHTING IN HOUMA, LOUISIANA ON JULY 26TH 2013 - CRIMSON RED ORBS OBSERVED IN THE NIGHT SKY OVER SOUTHERN LOUISIANA MOVING FROM WEST TO EAST.
It was about 11:35 at night and I was driving home from work when I first noticed a large pattern of lights visible directly in front of me about 50 degrees from the horizon. I initially thought they might be flares but they were moving to fast laterally to be flares. They were crimson red in color and appeared to flutter or twinkle a bit. There were 5 orbs total moving from west to east just below the cloud line. They were moving slightly faster than a plane would be. Each light/orb was flying at a different altitude from one another and appeared to be in some sort of large formation. I pulled over into a gas station to observe them further, but as I was doing this the lights started to fade out and then disappeared. The total time I was able to observe was about 2 minutes. I often gaze into the night sky and have observed many planes, helicopters, satellites, etc.. but these orbs definitely seemed to be something different.

For a good rational reason though - for it appears to me that Earth is but an alien burger bar franchise using well tried recipes of social disease and disaster and contradictory nihilism that wrings out and serves up the life force juices of freshly squeezed human nervous systems to hungry alien vampiric-type beings.
Until they get evicted by massive heavenly powers, our only way out is UP with the Saints and Angels of Christ and also by living and operating in our own social context as love-filled beings. That's when our heart-light lights up like a rescue beacon in our darkness.
There is no such thing as human society; rather it is a top down Reptilian and Grey dominance hierarchy driven by hunger for life force. These emergent alien needs can spontaneously and arbitrarily form feeding collaborations amongst human social structures and events. They can be witnessed to be collaborations across assumed human divisions of class, creed or nation.
No matter the flag, and alleged human social divisions our various leaders and disease mongers are all waving the Reptilian devil-horned-hand at one another.
The human may see a busy social scene of other isolated humans wrapped up in and divided by social classes and education and skills and assumed social standing or lack of it... and the human may see the status symbols and architecture and the class system as portrayed and re-enforced by Hollywood and other media and make certain assumptions about who they see could be talking or operating with whom - but the Reptilian and Grey soul miner in your time space may never have met before during your bizarre social incident.
They wear the semblance of all sorts of human clothing and social disease and they recognise one another - not by the David Icke encyclopaedia of hand signals and codewords - its far simpler than that - they can see one another and through the holographic veils that human eyes cannot penetrate.

They may never have met before as a team or seen you or this place that you are in before, though they have the capacity to see the over flying technology of all shapes and sizes and also other beings like themselves run around and around the slow moving human stream like they are.

Often human understanding of these human social loss-making predicaments is impeded by the charade of human flags and human paradigms and inherited reasons for social divisions and ignorance. Under the camouflage of human social relationships and social infrastructure the Reptilian and Grey life force feeders and their spawn-sibling nursery managers wreak havoc on human aspirations and goals, seeing with their fully operational sixth sense our weaknesses and assumptions.

They then in my opinion, by enforced contradiction and nihilism wring despair from the human nervous system and essences as they bankrupt attempt after attempt and investment after investment in all the things we think of as desirable and good to work towards. In small ways and big ways whatever your scene there's designer negation just for you wherever you are, near, far... we are under alien gaze.
They can be short term or long-term interlopers in our lives and some may say that they manage our souls in their facilities and astral dimensions between lives and some may say we don't get away - but that's just a lie.
They have managed alien Imperial interstellar infrastructure on this planet for millennia as they farm their intergalactic prisoners of war and social undesirables in dense and slow moving and slow processing DNA straight jackets - aided and abetted probably by matrix class amnesia fields.
The Reptilians - the historic and biblical devils e.g. Judas, and the Greys - the historic and long term legion or hive or faeries or Archons etc move slowly amongst the HUman herd looking like humans - the Reptilians looking human by natural ability - the Greys making use of hologram projector technology.
The social arrangements here are not for the evolutionary benefit of the human race - who themselves could easily have attained interstellar status many times in the past millennia using either indigenous Atlantean works or the rediscovery of e.g. free energy physics starting with e.g. Faraday in 1890AD.
The real social arrangements on Earth are not dictated by human flags or divisions or inherited social history and alleged technology etc but rather by the need to racially propagate and feed by the Reptilian Anunnaki and the Greys.
Indeed HU means Reptilian and man means clay... i.e. Humans are nesting material and Imperial livestock.
They might tend to see whatever humans are primitively doing amongst their shielded interstellar matrix infrastructure whether as sword wielding barbarians or ape-men with pointed sticks or 20th century intellectuals with incomplete sciences as merely opportunities to feed. By running rings round - intellectually and physically their slow moving human zombie herd they do what they probably always want to do - to steal the life-force of the creative and trusting and Godly and selfless for selfish and self-centered ends.
To that end - what the humans think of as social history and infrastructure and technology and science is nought but a crafted charade that does not operate for the benefit of humans.
In these human social jungles and peer groups up the end of every social cul de sac carefully camouflaged amongst a pile of whatever we think of as good are the hungry Reptilian soul feeders waiting to supersede us to feed.
Aided and abetted by their janitorial sidekicks the Greys who can rip your worst fears in any social context from your mind and manufacture something appropriately evil in black to project as a hologram to crush you in fear. e.g. Knights in Black, SS in Black or Men in Black
A way to let drop the millstone from our necks is to purge ourselves of our spiritual investments in this world - to turn the other cheek from it - to disengage and not be drawn into cycles of repetitive self-vindication.
If we are comfortable with our charade and our place in the phoney artificial order and it seems to us to be paying out - then maybe we should be aware that we could be asleep.
This is a world of alien insanity, alien chameleons, chameleon alien technology, overflying droids of all sizes, invisible ships and beings - where an alien can capture the soul of a US President in full view of the public gaze with not a word spoken in nearly 50 years. It isn't the noble lie that the masses have to live with - it's the ignoble insanity - but thanks to the intercession of the Saints and Angels many miracles can and do take place in this world... that beings more powerful than our jailors are at work in this world and they belong to the Kingdom of Heaven.
There is hope of getting free - but it is by our mind that we can be ensnared - our hacked human mind is our millstone. It is by the truth of our love within - our hearts - [this imo is not empty rhetoric] - the bright blazing beacon of a loving heart is the pass-key we need to get past the matrix sarcophagi membranes and tubes here.

"Enoch", 2010, by Autumn Williams The comments on Williams new book" Enoch" have come flying in since the OSS last weekend, where the book made its debut. Autumn Williams has been accused of outright lying, trying to make a buck, slopppy -- or "no" -- research, being gullible, and (in, sigh, I'll say it, sexist attacks) being too emotional about her own Bigfoot sighting. Another reaction by critics of Williams work is the proudly stated comment they aren't going to read the book (!) yet they offer opinions on the book anyway.Others, myself included, think the book is fantastic, and highly recommend it.I don't know Autumn Williams very well; we've known each other on-line for years, and I was very glad to meet her and talk with her a couple of times at the OSS. I don't have the impression she's a liar. As to her making money from her book, I hope she does. Why is it that, when it comes to the field of the strange, be it Bigfoot, UFOs, etc. it's considered an immoral act to make money from your research? I'm also alarmed, but not surprised (sadly) at the vitriolic nature of some of the criticisms. Williams has been in the Bigfoot field for twenty something years; doesn't that count for something? Whether you end up agreeing with her or not, it seems a researcher with the kind of history Williams has, who offers something different in terms of research and the nature of Bigfoot, deserves to be carefully considered.It's possible Willaims was duped by the witness referred to as "Mike" but, all any of us have when dealing with others is, ultimately, our intuition. I trust that Williams knows what she's doing in that regard. She's a researcher and a witness -- and as we'll see, this combination is key -- and so, I choose to believe that both "Mike" as well as Williams, are telling the truth.If I'm wrong, if Williams is wrong, so what? Yes, I said "so what?" Williams message in "Enoch" is about the nature of research; it's relationship to the witness and the hugely important question of goals in searching for Bigfoot. This message cannot be stressed enough. Regardless of any potentional gullibility on Williams part, the point isn't whether the book is fiction or not, it's what Williams has to say about the nature of research, including protections of Bigfoot.Throughout the book, Williams asks the reader to consider the witness in relation to researcher as well as motivations in searching for Bigfoot. Consider your personal agenda in looking for Bigfoot. "Why" do you want to find Bigfoot? Vindication? Confirmation? Proof? Williams points out (as I have regarding UFO research) if you've seen a Bigfoot, you know they exist. You know they "are", "what "they are, is a different issue. In continuing to search for Bigfoot, the question becomes: why? Do you want another sighting for personal reasons? Or to prove it to science? If the latter, that agenda needs to be very carefully thought through. If the story of Mike turns out to be a "lie" (and I'm not saying it is) those points still stand.There were several times while reading the book I said to myself "Wow, you can replace the words 'bigfoot research' with 'UFO research." Not that Autumn addressed UFOs in her book; I don't want to imply that she did or put words in her mouth. She has enough trouble right now; she doesn't some Bigfoot researcher going around saying that "Williams believes Bigfoot researchers need to study UFOs" or some other misinterpreted nonsense. The parallels I see in her work to UFO research are mine, and I think fellow saucer heads would see those parallels if they read the book.Bigfoot or UFOs, whichever world you find yourself in -- and some of us find ourselves in both -- the reasons why we haven't found "The Really Big Answer" has to do with a mindset, a world view, a philosophy of research that, ironically, so many researchers don't get. "Until that changes, nothing else will."Except for the witnesses. If you're a Bigfoot witness, you don't need proof; you've seen a Sasquatch. Who are you going to prove it to, and why? Williams asks this question many times. We have to know ourselves before we go out there in the field. The same, in many ways, is true in UFO Land. I'm a witness, many times over. Since childhood. I know they exist. I know weird things happen related to them. I don't know what they are. But they "are." I don't have proof of any UFO encounter I've had. None. No photos, no scrap of metal from a flying saucer, no artifact, no dead body of an alien. Nothing. "Just" my story. If that's not good enough for some, that's tough. I'm not going to go away or shut up. I'm going to continue to explore. Reasons for my writing and researching UFOs and related topics vary and are no doubt complicated at times, but I'm not out to "prove" anything. Part of my journey is to share, and have others feel safe and "respected" in sharing their stories with myself and others.Of course, with UFOs we're talking about machines and I don't mean to compare the vitally important need to protect Bigfoot at all costs with a nuts and bolts flying saucer. As to aliens; whatever, whoever, those are... here we start to veer off into another area. The point is, witnesses are valuable and need to be treated not only with respect, but "the power shift between researcher and witness needs to change. "These are the points both UFO and Bigfoot researchers need to understand if we're to "get anywhere" or rather, "to get somewhere different". Researchers need to understand their own agendas and intent. Witnesses need to be respected and listened to. Some researchers are also witnesses; how does that affect "research?" As far as the relationship between witness and researcher and their roles, what Autumn is saying isn't new or even radical. It is, apparently, for a lot Bigfoot researchers out there but in other fields, say Folklore, (my subject in college, including grad school,) this dynamic between the "informant" (witness) and the interviewer/researcher was an important part of our training; the issue couldn't be discussed enough. Responsibility of researcher, responses to witnesses, response of the researcher to the witnesses responses to her,... it's an ever deepening and growing relationship. Growing, morphing, shifting. "Research" doesn't always have to start and stop with a plaster cast, or a UFO sighting report on paper. 10. El extra~no humanoide de Marius Dewilde. Un ser enfundado en un mono que se present'o ante un campesino frances a finales del a~no 1954. Ten'ia casco, guantes y a trav'es de la extra~na escafandra se pod'ia ver a un ser de ojos rasgados, de tez oscura y gran tama~no craneal. Un avistamiento raro, profundamente perturbador porque seg'un comentaba el testigo, lleg'o un momento en el que este ser lleg'o a paralizarle a 'el y a su perro mientras que en ning'un momento dejaban de percibir la realidad.
9. La ni~na de las estrellas de Antonio Vilas-Boas. Enmarcado en los extra~nos casos de luces de la muerte de Brasil y de gran casu'istica del estado de Minas Gerais, este caso ocurrido el 16 de Octubre de 1957 tiene todos los componentes bizarros que se requieren para una clasificaci'on de estas caracter'isticas. Un hombre abducido, una extra~na mujer humanoide que se presenta ante 'el, una violenta aparici'on de seres mas peque~nos que le untan de una especie de ung"uento y le quitan la ropa a toda la velocidad, dos relaciones sexuales con la extra~na individua y la sensaci'on de haber sido una cobaya para un experimento gen'etico, sensaci'on que se mantuvo en la mente de Vilas Boas hasta el final de sus d'ias.
8. Los extra~nos seres de Florencia. Una se~nora se dispon'ia a llevar flores a las tumbas de sus seres queridos y se adentra en un bosque a las afueras de Florencia en 1954. La situaci'on pueden imaginarsela, de pel'icula: la se~nora de repente se estremece al ver una nave de aspecto romboide y a unos extra~nos "ni~nos" con faccionnes extremadamente ancianas que parec'ian corretear en torno a esa nave. Los ni~nos comienzan a rodear a la se~nora y la se~nora descubre horrorizada como esos "ni~nos" no hablan un lenguaje normal, y lo mas impresionante: sus dientes eran afilados y puntiagudos. Fue portada de la domenica del Corriere en 1954.
7. El extraterrestre de Roswell. Qu'e hay mas m'itico para los amantes de lo extra~no que el bizarro y extra~no v'ideo aparecido de la mano del productor Jaques Santilli en 1995 en donde se aseguraba que el gobierno de los estados unidos hab'ia grabado la autopsia a un extraterrestre que se hab'ia recuperado muerto del accidente de Roswell. Dimes y diretes, falso o no, lo cierto es que no hay un v'ideo mas pol'emico en el tema OVNI en toda la d'ecada de los 90.

6. El monstruo de Flatwoods. Un caso impresionante del que aun hoy hay personas que afirman verlo cerca de esta localidad. En 1952 un grupo de chicos estaba jugando al futbol americano cuando vieron bajar un extra~no objeto luminoso del cielo. iba a posarse en un bosque cercano y corrieron raudos y veloces a verlo. Cuando llegaron a su posici'on, los chicos avistaron a un extra~no ser de ojos rojos, garras, un sombrero en forma de pica y que med'ia la friolera de 3.5 metros. Un monstruo realmente m'itico en la historia de la ufolog'ia.
5. Los aliens deBetty y Barney Hill. Sin duda, la pareja de abducidos mas famosa de todos los tiempos contaban en su haber con una historia con humanoides realmente curiosa. Unos seres, llamados los "grises" por parte de la ufolog'ia mundial, con macrocefalia, pigmentaci'on en la piel, grandes ojos almendrados negros que reflejan la luz a modo de lentes o como parte de un sistema de visi'on mas insectoide que mam'ifero, enfundados en un mono ajustado o sin 'el, y con grandes capacidades ps'iquicas, tales como la visi'on y la conciencia grupal. La experiencia de Betty Hill fue corroborada por decenas de testigos a lo largo y ancho del planeta, que afirmaban lo mismo que ella sin conocer su caso.
4. El ser de Imjarvi. Imaginemos la situaci'on. Imjarvi, Finlandia, 1971, en pleno bosque frondoso dos esquiadores de fondo avistan a un misterioso objeto volador de luz roja pulsante que toma tierra. Los dos testigos estupefactos. De repente se abre una puerta y sale una rampa. Miedo y agarrotamiento, los testigos apenas se pod'ian mover. De repente sale un misterioso ser de poco mas de un metro de altura con una caja con una luz amarilla adosada a ella. Se queda mir'andolos. Los enchufa con la luz de la caja. Se mete para adentro de nuevo y el objeto despega y se le pierde de vista. Los testigos experimentaron s'intomas de haber sido irradiados y se volvieron medio locos. Se quedaron in'utiles para trabajar. El ser de Imjarvi. Miedo.

3. Los marcianos de Voronezh. 1989. Imag'inese que est'a usted esperando el autobus en su ciudad y de repente ve bajar una gigantesca esfera negra cerca de la parada. De repente ve bajar a dos seres gigantescos de aspecto imponente, mas de 2.5 metros de altura y a otro mas peque~no de aspecto mas rob'otico. El p'anico entre las personas de aquel lugar tuvo que ser impresionante. Los seres volvieron a introducirse dentro, aunque hubo pol'emica porque en las investigaciones oficiales aparecieron datos de una posible interacci'on con un ni~no peque~no que se acerc'o a la escena.
Los seres parec'ian mostrar un aspecto bastante humano, pero seg'un otras descripciones ten'ia la cabeza triangular. Lo que coincid'ian todos los testimonios era en que los seres ten'ian tres ojos claramente definidos.

2. El caso Conil: unos chicos estaban en una playa de Conil, Cadiz dos d'ias despu'es del anterior caso de Voronezh. Se reun'ian all'i para ver unas extra~nas luces en el cielo desde hac'ia unos d'ias. Los chicos de repente vieron emerger dos figuras del agua, ataviadas con unos ropajes blancos que llegaban hasta el suelo. No ten'ian cara y parec'ia que portaban una luz azul muy intensa que apareci'o de repente en la escena. Comenzaron a andar hacia ellos y se pusieron a hacer un peque~no muro de arena para protegerse de la vista de los chicos. Se pasaron unas cuantas veces la bola azul y cuando se levantaron eran dos personas, un hombre y una mujer completamente normales. El t'ermino "infiltrados" son'o con fuerza a partir de este momento.
En el caso conil tambi'en se vio a un extra~no ser, mas alto que las anteriores figuras. Portaba un traje negro, ten'ia unos gigantescos ojos negros almendrados y una gran cabeza con forma de pera.

1. El caso mas bizarro de todos los tiempos es sin duda el ocurrido en la granja de los Sutton en Kelly, Hopkinsville en 1955. Una familia fue literalmente asediada por unas criaturas de enormes orejas y grandes garras que caminaban a dos patas y que resist'ian los disparos de escopetas de la familia.
Los seres eran escurridizos y parec'ian salir de una extra~na luz aterrizada en las afueras de la granja. Se iban acercando poco a poco a la casa ante el temor de la familia que tuvo momentos de p'anico extremo ante la visi'on de estos seres viendoles por las ventanas. Cuando la polic'ia lleg'o all'i alertada por la familia que tuvo que huir en una escena digna de una pel'icula de acci'on declar'o algo increible. Los seres ya no estaban pero en el ambiente flotaba una especie de campana de "irrealidad", como si estuviesen dentro de un entorno controlado y alejado de nuestra realidad.
Menci'on especial: el mothman, una serie de casos que merecen un art'iculo aparte y que tienen todos los ingredientes para una aut'entica pel'icula de terror. Ocurri'o en Estados Unidos y aun a d'ia de hoy se recuerda en Point Pleasant aquellos d'ias de los a~nos 70.

The Sunday afternoon session started off with Major George A. Filer (USAF Retired), MUFON's Eastern Regional Director, who says he worked as an Intelligence officer. His talk was titled "Mars the Living Planet." Filer is a well-known figure in UFOlogy owing mostly to his weekly Filer's Files, a "kitchen sink" compendium of UFO claims, where no claim is too absurd to receive a respectful hearing. Sometimes when I'm short of material for Psychic Vibrations (that doesn't happen too often), I know I can go to Filer's Files to find something entertaining to write about.
Filer says that when he was stationed with the Air Force in England, UFOs were seen on many of their flights. Sometimes fighter jets were sent up to look at them. However, the fighter jets often didn't return from this mission, so they sent up the tanker aircraft (in which he flew) instead. Because the tankers were unarmed, the UFOs didn't attack them.
Mars, according to Filer, used to be teeming with life until it was mostly wiped out in a nuclear holocaust some 180 million years ago. He showed NASA photos of Mars that purport to contain tubes (possibly water pipes, or trains) that extend for miles, as well as underground cities. There are numerous faces on Mars, and some of them look similar to Egyptian Pharaohs. But some life still exists among the ruins. The green colors on Mars represent growths of moss and algae.

I spent some time chatting with the Flying Saucer Physicist, Stanton Friedman, who I hadn't seen in about fifteen years. Klass and I had a friendly rivalry with Friedman. He's a decent guy when you get to know him. Still he's way off base about those UFOs.
At Friedman's table, before his talk, I asked him about the Marjorie Fish interpretation of the Betty Hill "UFO star map." ( I doubted, correctly it turns out, that I'd have the opportunity to try to nail him during his Q157 (3794): 1274-9). Friedman says that there's a movie soon to be made about him and UFOlogist Donald Schmidt (an odd couple indeed, since they're often been at odds concerning Holy Roswell). The movie will be titled "Majic Men", and will be completed as soon as 10 or 20 million can be raised.
In the closing session, MUFON demonstrated its brand-new smart phone App. It has three main functions. Two allow the user to stay in tough with MUFON messages and its database. The third, however, is potentially more interesting. It allows the user to receive real-time notifications whenever anybody in the same area reports sighting a UFO. This opens the possibility that large numbers of people might be notified of a UFO visitation, and provide additional witnesses and photos. I've always been a skeptic of aliens and UFOs, up until two nights ago, and I feel lost and confused, that's why I am here. I would like to start off by telling you that about 3 weeks ago I saw an unidentified flying object that looked like a fireball in the sky, and since then I have felt like I am being watched. Two nights ago as I was about to go to sleep I saw something in my room through my peripheral vision. I don't remember going to sleep, but I do remember waking up in a metal room and I was lying on a metal bed and I was restrained. I struggled to turn my head and I saw many people lying in these metal beds just like mine and I focused on one in particular which I realized was my sister, it seemed that everyone was in some state of unconsciousness. At that point I realized that something was very wrong and I was conscious of the scary situation I was in. I started to panic and tried to free myself. At that point I realized that I was surrounded by short beings, they were grayish in color and seemed oblivious to the fact that I was trying to fight my way out of the restraints. Suddenly out of nowhere came a bright light and another being appeared, this one was taller and had a more oval shaped head with indentations in it and it was almost tan in color. It communicated with me telepathically and I asked it what it was doing to us and it said "We are looking at your DNA." I asked it why it was doing this to us and it replied "All humans have alien DNA, but not all humans have the same alien DNA" I asked it where they were from and it said "We come from Sirius" and it also told me that they have been coming to me for a long time. UFO OR UAP?UFO, unidentified flying object, is used now to refer to sightings of aerial phenomena that remain unexplainable. Some proposed to use instead "UAP" for Unidentified Aerial Phenomena, which is more neutral than UFO, as we do not know if we are dealing with objects. I prefer UAP over UFO, but the expression UFO is so entrenched in daily usage that it is easier to keep it.Based on the research done by the US Air Force with the Project Blue Book, as well as other ufological research using a different set of cases, it is now accepted that about 80% of UFO sightings are actually explainable by either known natural or human causes. Another 15% cannot be explained because there is not enough data to make a proper assessment. This leaves about 5% of cases which are truly unexplainable. These statistics are not accurate simply because it is impossible to know if all sightings of UFO s are reported (and this appears very unlikely). So, these statistics are not to be used as "scientific law" but rather as a rule-of-thumb. UFO, here, refer to sightings that belongs to that last 5%, but that occur in groupings called wave.A wave, here, is defined as several unexplainable UFO sightings occurring over the same particular territory, and over a limited time period. The key, however, to identify a wave is the social intensity of the sightings: UFO sightings are noted and discussed publicly. Hence, our definition of UFO wave is one that considers it as a social object. Otherwise, there is no parasociological analysis possible. PARANORMAL AND PARAPSYCHOLOGICAL HYPOTHESESThe idea that UFOs are a phenomenon better understood as a paranormal or parapsychiological reality is not new. Here are some of the key texts and statements useful to understand the genesis of this approach.One of the first to suggest this idea was Carl Jung in his famous book "Flying Saucers: A modern myth of things seen in the skies", published in German in 1958 and translated in English in 1959. Jung saw the UFO phenomenon from the lenses of social psychology, in that UFOs are expressions of archetypes deeply engrained in the human brain. But he did not deny that some UFOs might be more than misperceptions, as they show signs of synchronistic behaviour, which in turn implies that they might constitute a psi phenomenon. Unfortunately, Jung's thesis about UFO has been and remains too often misunderstood, as it is usually associated with the idea of popular rumours leading to individual misperceptions. In 1966, a prominent American physicist, Dr. James McDonald, who was trying to get the issue of UFOs seriously studied by the scientific community, proposed that "UFOs might besome type of unknown parapsychological phenomenon". He was also dissatisfied with the hypothesis that UFO might be extraterrestrial crafts (a.k.a as the Extra-Terrestrial Hypothesis or ETH). However, he had to backtrack from this proposal, as he was facing even strong opposition from the scientific community.In 1969, however, the paranormal approach to UFOs got a serious boost with the publication of "Passport to Magonia: From folklore to flying saucers" by Dr. Jacques Vall'ee. Vall'ee, who had already established himself as a serious ufologist, studied a series of cases describing encounters with enchanted beings and compared them with modern cases of close encounters of the 3rd kind (i.e., meeting the occupants of UFOs). He found that there were many similarities between them, and hence suggested that UFOs might indeed be paranormal or parapsychological phenomena. The following year, John Keel, a writer and investigator specialized in mysteries, published "Operation Trojan Horse". Keel suggested that something paranormal or parapsychological was an integral part of the UFO experience, and that maybe aliens were "ultra-terrestrials" or trans-dimensional beings. His book, however, was not well received at the time. In 1975, he had more success with the publication of "The Mothman Prophecies". In this book, Keel relates the story of his investigation of a UFO wave experienced by a small West Virginia town, and the paranormal events surrounding it. The events occurred before the main bridge of town collapsed, killing many people. The UFO wave ceased shortly thereafter. Although Keel is a more nuanced in this book about the origin of UFOs, it is clear for him the UFOs, and the other paranormal events were premonitions of the bridge tragedy. The same year, Allan Hynek, who was since the 1950s the official UFO researcher of the US Air Force, admitted that UFOs cannot be understood without incorporating their paranormal or parapsychological dimension (Ian Ridpath. "Interview With J. Allen Hynek". Nature, October 4, 1975, Vol. 251, p. 369). Also in 1975, Jerome Clark published with Loren Coleman "The Unidentified", where he clearly espoused the paranormal thesis about UFOs. It is to be noted, however, that he subsequently changed his mind, and became a key promoter of the ETH. In 1977, Pierre Vi'eroudy published in France "Ces ovnis qui annoncent le surhomme". This book proposes one of the best syntheses of the research done so far about UFOs and parapsychology, where he links Jung's archetype, anthropological and sociological observations, models and theories from scientific parapsychology, and ufological material. He even conducted empirical research where he "provoked" the creation of UFOs and took some pictures of them. His empirical research, however, was never successfully repeated. Also in 1977, Fate Magazine organized an International UFO Symposium in Chicago. The proceedings were published in the form of a book in 1980. The conference brought many "big names" of ufology like Allan Hynek, Jacques Vall'ee, Stanton Friedman, Jerome Clark, Kenneth Arnold, Betty Hill, etc. Two plenary sessions were devoted to the psychic dimensions of the UFO experience. Many interesting ideas were put forward. For instance, Berthold Eric Schwartz, a psychiatrist, proposed that Jung was right and that more serious research needs to be done. Schwartz eventually delivered by publishing in 1983 "UFO Dynamics: Psychiatric and psychic aspects of the UFO syndrome", where he proposed a well researched analysis of UFO experience, using parapsychology as his basis and cases from his own practice as psychotherapist. Schwartz also proposed that there might be parapsychological expressions of the social unconscious that acquire for a time some degree of independence. David Stupple, a sociologist, also present at the Symposium, proposed a similar idea about the possibility of a temporarily "freed" social unconscious. Although, he does not appear to have pursued this idea further. In 1979, Thomas Bearden from the defence establishment, presented at a MUFON conference "A Mind/Brain/Matter Model Consistent with Quantum Physics and UFO Phenomena", also using the concept of collective unconcious. The idea of a social unconscious will be discussed later at length, as it is an important entry point for parasociology. The 1970s was quite fertile for ufology, and shown a fair degree of open-mindedness. Some, like Brad Steiger in his book "Project Blue Book" (1976), were even predicting that ufology was about to move into a new phase, implying that the paranormal/parapsychological approaches would become prominent. Steiger was only half right. Ufology changed (at least in North America), but only to become more than ever fixated with the ETH and "nuts-and-bolts" approaches, and sinking into ludicrous conspiracy theories, thus preventing any meaningful dialogue between government research establishment and the ufological community. The Roswell affair, first coming to light in 1978 interview with Jessee Marcel conducted by Stanton Friedman, and by a book by Charles Berlitz, "The Roswell Incident", published in 1980. This situation was reinforced by, yet again Stanton Friedman, and his discovery of the so-called MJ-12 documents in the 1980s.The poor state of ufology in North America that would emerge after the 1970s, as reflected in Vall'ee's comments presented in a previous post, reflects the failure of North American ufologists to remain scientific (i.e., their working assumptions evolved into a belief system).Copyright (c) 2008 Eric Ouellet

MAY 14, 2013 - NEW ZEALAND - Strange UFO activity near an airplane, was witnessed over Queenstown, New Zealand on the 12th of May, 2013.
EYE-WITNESS REPORT:
The only object I could visually see, was the glowing ball or white orb like object. I estimate it to be about the size of a laptop, when we took the size into consideration,... then, a chute operation is an interesting one, but to me, a less likely scenario.
I was on a tour boat on Lake Wakatipu, with about 25 other passengers. It was a perfectly still day, 15 degrees air temperature, sunny skies. I noted a plane overhead, for a quite a while it appeared to be not really going anywhere. I focused my camera (Canon EOS55D), onto the plane, then noticed that it had ejected what appeared to be a shining round object. I had been taking photos of the plane for a couple of minutes before it ejected the glowing ball. I managed to gain a few shots of the ball as it slowly descended. I then lost sight of the plane and the glowing object. Then a few minutes later, the plane was back, so this time, I focused intently on it, and its activities. No one else on the boat was particularly watching, as we were on a guided tour, not of the sky, but rather the landscape and lake around us.
I was the only one watching the skies. The second time the plane ejected the same looking object, I managed to capture its descent to earth completely, as well as its landing. I could only see the glowing ball of light. At no time could I see the other two anomalous objects, they were not ever visible to my eye, nor could I see them on the camera screen. It was not until I was able to view on the computer screen, enlarged, that I finally noticed the two other objects that appear to be connected. The descent was not quick, it was not a free fall event. The objects took their time, initially forming a triangular shape, then occasionally mingling together, but always with the white glowing orb in the top position.
I had plenty of time to watch this event. The glowing white orb was quite large (when one compares it to a smallish orb), big enough to track with my own eyes. At one point, I changed to video view, but my screen on the camera is not large enough to visually see an event like this, I had trouble spotting the item on the camera screen, so I quickly went back to individual photos, knowing that I had more scope to enlarge the photos as well (I cannot alter my videos to enlargement at this stage).
The plane seemed to stay around while these objects gently came down to Earth. Once they had landed, the plane then disappeared. It did so in a bit of an unusual fashion, it seemed to become more and more blurry, maybe that was a distance factor, maybe it was changing shape. On several occasions, the plane would change direction, in less than a minute time span, but not going anywhere to actually achieve a 180 degree turn, it was as if it could manage to do this aeronautical feat in the space of just a few meters. The Kepler telescope today found several very Earth like planets, and a couple of other ones no one really wants to talk about. In fact, NASA is even calling one "the most Earth like planet ever." Like, off all time. Science right?

First up is Kepler-62f is only 40% bigger than our own planet, and orbits a star that's only 20% as bright as our sun. It's neighbor, Kepler-62e circles the same star, which is 1,200 light years away (which is only about 7,054,199,780,000,000 miles, give or take. The third exoplanet spotted is called Kepler-69c is also probably the most exciting. It is 70% bigger than Earth, but revolves around a star much like our own and it's being described as the smallest world located in the habitable zone of a star akin to our own.
Usually when exoplanets are found they are too big to support life (typically, larger planets are more like Jupiter or Neptune, all gassy with little or no solid ground.) and usually don't orbit within the so called habitable zone, that perfect distance from the sun that isn't too hot or too cold, but just right.
"THIS IS THE FIRST ONE WHERE I'M THINKING 'HUH, KEPLER-62F REALLY MIGHT HAVE LIFE ON IT'," says a co-author of the study on the two, published today.Space.com says that another study indicates that the planets might be completely covered in oceans, which makes it harder for us to live there, but also just sounds epic.
As for temperature, which is always important at looking for places to live, you know, one day, chief Kepler scientist William Borucki says Kepler-62e is a bit warm, sort of like a Hawaiian world, and Kepler-62f is a bit chilly, more like Alaska.
In other, less exciting, but still awesome news, four additional planets were found in the two new solar systems identified. None of them are thought capable of supporting life, however.
