We were out on a familiar country road and noticed about 9 bright orange lights way off in the distance in the night sky. They were in formation of groups of three. They would get to a certain height high into the night sky and then a few appeared to separate. Eventually they all faded to black. We saw two more rise what appeared to be from the ground, again bright orange. Once at a certain height, one boldly shot in opposite direction as they both faded into the black night sky. It was amazing enough that other vehicles also pulled ver.
