My husband was more interested in the TV than my conversation and did not really take very much notice! No more than a minute after it passed I noticed three circular, white, shaped solid objects in the sky flying in a triangular formation behind the path the plane had just passed and travelling in the same direction. There were no lights or flashing colours of any sort, and had I not been looking up at that part of the sky, I would have easily missed them. At first I wondered if they were parachute jumpers, possibly having jumped from the plane that had just passed. However, I could see the way that the three 'discs' were maneuvering appeared to be controlled. There appeared to be one lead object with the two others to the rear in a triangle formation, then one broke away to the left very sharply and quickly then rejoined the group in a controlled manner. They were definitely not planes, they were round. They appeared lower than the plane that had passed, but high up above cloud level. I sat up and shouted excitedly to my husband ' quick, UFOs! My husband looked out briefly where I had pointed and also saw the three objects, but he is a very practical matter of fact' person and seemed disinterested. He said, 'they are probably some form of balloons'. I told him that I had just seen them performing controlled manoeuvres, but he was not interested at all. I ran outside the van to take a better look, and my six year old ran out with me. The three objects flew right overhead, high up, in exactly the same flight path as the plane, switching positions and formation but remaining together as a group until i lost view of them. "Instead of being the typical approach where we put together all the plans and we ask for participation, we wanted to look at it the other way and see what's available," NASA's head of space operations, Bill Gerstenmaier, told reporters during a press conference on Thursday.
"This is a holistic kind of effort," added Robert Bigelow, president and founder of the Nevada-based firm that bears his name. "It's intended to encompass as much (information) as possible and it's intended to evolve and to grow."
The first part of the study surveyed about two dozen companies and research organizations about their ideas, plans, capabilities, schedules and costs for upcoming space initiatives. A draft report was submitted to NASA on Thursday -- 40 days ahead of schedule -- and has not yet been publicly released.
NASA intends to use the information to figure out where it can collaborate with private space initiatives and where it might, for example, entirely skip an expensive research and development program and just buy services or hardware commercially.
For example, after the International Space Station is removed from orbit, NASA could be a tenant aboard a Bigelow Aerospace-owned habitat for any microgravity research or technology development it wants to do.

Membahas soal UFO atau alien ini tidak mudah. Mengapa sulit? Karena obyek/subyek yang diteliti tidaklah ada di depan kita dan kita tidak bisa memintanya datang sesuka kita. Laporan-laporan penampakan UFO atau perjumpaan manusia dengan alien, juga masih sering diragukan. Bahkan peristiwa jatuhnya UFO di Roswell tahun 1947 di mana ada 4 alien (2 mati, 1 lari kemudian ditembak oleh seorang tentara yang tegang, dan satu lagi sekarat dan akhirnya mati di rumah sakit) yang di autopsi oleh pihak militer (AU) AS. Namun semuanya itu ditutupi dan dianggap tidak ada. Laporan resmi dari pihak pemerintah hanyalah sebuah balon percobaan AS yang bernama Skyhook. Tapi masyarakat umum tidak mudah begitu saja percaya dan kemudian lahirlah teori "alien Conspiracy".
Indonesia termasuk cukup sering dilewati UFO, banyak laporan yang terdata dan ada juga kasus orang Indonesia yang diculik UFO. Namun tentu saja kembali ke pertanyaan, apakah itu semua bisa dipercaya? Laporan memang bisa dikarang, foto memang bisa direkayasa, bukti apapun bisa dibuat. Bagi orang yang percaya, sedikit bukti sudah cukup. Bagi orang yang skeptik, dia butuh bukti yang benar-benar ilmiah dan dapat dipertanggung jawabkan. Bagi orang yang fanatik anti, bukti sebagai manapun banyaknya tak akan mengubah sikapnya.
Dari kesulitan yang ada, nampaknya mempelajari UFO banyak kendalanya. Tak ada satupun buku yang bisa dianggap ilmiah dan telah diuji kebenarannya. Di sisi lain, belum ada satu pihak pemimpin agama yang menyatakan pendapatnya tentang UFO/alien. Walau tahun 1979 pihak PBB pernah membahas secara serius masalah UFO, namun hal itu tidak mempunyai kelanjutan yang serius. Dunia lebih sibuk dengan peperangan, masalah politik, penyakit dan krisis ekonomi, ketimbang mempelajari tamu yang datang ke dunia kita ini...
Dengan kendala sumber-sumber data untuk mempelajari UFO/alien ini, maka dalam mempelajari keberadaan UFO di masa lalu, peneliti UFO menggunakan referensi dari kitab-kitab kuno, prasasti, hieroglyph, termasuk juga kitab-kitab suci. Salah satu peneliti yang terkenal adalah Erich von D"aniken. Teori D"aniken adalah nenek moyang kita dulunya pernah didatangi oleh makhluk cerdas dari luar angkasa yang dianggap dewa oleh manusia.
Masalahnya, menggunakan data-data yang bersumber dari kitab-kitab kuno, mitologi dan juga kitab suci, tidak akan bisa diterima oleh kalangan yang spektis. Namun, saya ingin mengajukan berbagai data yang telah saya kumpulkan, baik berupa cerita dari pengalaman seseorang yang melihat UFO atau alien, maupun dari berbagai informasi lain, termasuk kitab-kitab suci.
DARI MANAKAH DATANGNYA MEREKA?
Di sini saya selalu menuliskan makhluk UFO sebagai "alien" bukan "ET atau ETI". Mengapa? Karena ET merupakan kependekan dari Extra Terrestrial Inteligence, yaitu makhluk cerdas dari luar bumi. Dengan memakai istilah alien", saya tidak menutup kemungkinan bahwa mereka datang dari bumi atau dimensi lain.
Beberapa kemungkinan jawaban atas pertanyaan di atas adalah:
a. Dari luar angkasa
b. Dari masa depan
c. Dari bumi
d. Dari dimensi lain
A. MUNGKINKAH MEREKA DARI LUAR ANGKASA?
Perkiraan bahwa alien berasal dari luar angkasa sangat mungkin sekali, tapi ada beberapa keanehan atau kejanggalan bila mereka memang berasal dari luar angkasa. Keanehan itu adalah:
* Radar kita tidak pernah mendeteksi adanya spaceship yang memasuki atmosfir bumi.
* Bintang terdekat dengan tata surya kita adalah Alpha Centauri, yang berjarak 4.3 tahun cahaya. Ini berarti apa yang kita lihat hari ini adalah apa yang terjadi 4.3 tahun yang lalu. Terbang dengan kecepatan cahaya masih merupakan fiksi ilmiah. Untuk suatu perjalanan yang cukup cepat bagi UFO akan membutuhkan waktu ribuan tahun untuk mencapai bumi.
* Yang aneh adalah, meski ada ribuan saksi yang menyatakan pernah melihat UFO setiap tahun, namun tidak ada gambaran UFO yang persis sama. Tentunya sangat sulit untuk dibayangkan bila mereka dari luar angkasa dengan membawa sedemikian banyaknya jenis pesawat yang berbeda-beda dan berjalan zig-zag di angkasa setiap hari.
* Fenomena UFO dalam terbang sering tidak mengikuti hukum gravitasi dan aerodinamika, bukankah kalau mereka benar-benar dari angkasa luar, hukum-hukum fisika itu tetap berlaku buat mereka?
* Tidak ada BUKTI nyata bahwa mereka berasal dari planet tertentu.
* Beberapa orang yang berhubungan (kontak) dengan alien, sering kali mendapat pelajaran tentang spiritualitas, filosofi, peringatan tentang bahaya nuklir, dll. Apakah alien yang datang dari jarak yang jauh itu datang ke bumi hanya untuk mengajari manusia filsafat?
Memang ada juga yang tetap yakin bahwa mereka datang dari luar angkasa dengan teknologi yang sedemikian majunya yang belum terbayangkan oleh pikiran manusia.
B. MUNGKINKAH MEREKA DARI MASA DEPAN?
Apakah UFO semacam mesin waktu dari masa depan? Orang yang percaya bahwa
mesin waktu bisa (mungkin) dibuat akan bisa menerima kemungkinan akan teori
ini. Tapi saya mengabaikan teori ini karena pertimbangan:
* Beberapa laporan yang pernah melihat alien menyatakan bahwa kebanyakan bentuk mereka bukan manusia (human) dan terkadang aneh atau mengerikan.
* Interfensi makhluk dari masa depan bisa menimbulkan teori "paralel universe". Kalau mereka benar dari masa depan, maka saat ini tentunya mereka belum ada. Namun kalau mereka datang dari masa depan dan muncul saat ini, berarti itu merupakan suatu hal yang "unik" dan "menakjubkan".
* Kalau mereka memang dari masa depan, untuk apa mereka melakukan penculikan terhadap manusia (alien abduction)?
C. MUNGKINKAH MEREKA DARI BUMI?
Jika kemungkinan mereka dari bumi, tentunya harus dipertanyakan juga, yaitu:
1. apakah buatan manusia?
2. apakah buatan non human yang jenis spesiesnya belum kita ketahui sampai saat ini?
Kemungkinan bahwa UFO itu buatan manusia meragukan bila melihat fakta:
* Adanya fenomena penculikan manusia oleh UFO.
* UFO sudah pernah terlihat, jauh sebelum manusia mampu membuat pesawat terbang.
* Pesawat UFO sering diluar hukum-hukum gravitasi dan aerodinamika.
Kemungkinan buatan non human yang berasal dari bumi, meragukan bila melihat fakta:
* Pesawat UFO sering diluar hukum-hukum gravitasi dan aerodinamika.
* Di manakah mereka berada? (Ini memang bisa dijawab: di dasar laut, di daerah kutub yang tidak dihuni manusia, di dalam/rongga-rongga bumi)
* Mengapa ada masa kosong, di mana dulu pada jaman purbakala dikatakan alien sering hilir mudik di antara manusia, dan baru kini mulai aktif lagi?
D. MUNGKINKAH MEREKA DARI DIMENSI LAIN?
Tentunya bila ketiga kemungkinan di atas diabaikan karena adanya sanggahan
atau pemikiran yang meragukan, maka pilihan terakhir adalah yang keempat,
yaitu: Mungkinkah mereka dari dimensi lain?
Teori tentang alien dari dimensi lain cukup banyak dianut oleh kalangan ufologi (tidak semua). Beberapa data yang mendukung adalah:
* Menjelaskan fenomena UFO muncul dan menghilang secara tiba-tiba.
* Tidak mengikuti hukum-hukum fisika dalam dimensi manusia.
* Adanya kontak secara telepati atau melalui mimpi dengan beberapa orang yang merasa menjalin komunikasi (kontak) dengan alien.
* Sering terjadi kasus alien abduction pada waktu korban tidur.
* Mereka tidak bisa berinteraksi secara bebas dengan manusia karena berbeda dimensi. Untuk berinteraksi di dimensi manusia, mereka membutuhkan wadah (containers) manusia. Ini menjelaskan teori alien abduction dan pembuatan hybrid, di mana terjadi juga proses "soul abduction".
Bila mereka datang dari dimensi lain, siapakah mereka? Satu-satunya penjelasan dari kitab suci, yakni Al Quran yang menyatakan bahwa di bumi ini selain dihuni oleh manusia, juga dihuni oleh jin yang berada di dimensi lain. Suatu fakta bahwa di Indonesia yang cukup mengenal fenomena jin ini, ternyata memiliki suatu persamaan sifat, yaitu jin suka melakukan penculikan (baik orang dewasa maupun anak-anak), di mana korban sering berada di suatu tempat yang dia tidak mau kembali (karena enak), namun sebagian juga berhasil lari atau berhasil dikeluarkan/dikembalikan oleh bantuan orang lain dengan kuasa Allah.
Apakah jin mempunyai teknologi? Dapatkan keberadaan makhluk cerdas dari dimensi lain yang dinamakan jin ini diterima dengan akal manusia modern? Dan apakah memang fenomena jin ini adalah fenomena UFO yang muncul belakangan ini setelah sekian lama vakum?
Bicara soal jin, mungkin tidak akan lepas dari suatu kemungkinan bahwa ada jin yang baik dan jin yang jahat. Pendapat banyak orang adalah, jin yang baik tidak ingin mencampuri urusan manusia, namun jin yang jahat (setan dengan pemimpinnya Iblis/Lucifer), suka mencampuri urusan manusia dan berusaha menyesatkan manusia. Mungkin ini menjelaskan:
* Mengapa alien tidak begitu saja menyerang manusia (tembak dan hancurkan) karena tujuan mereka bukan membunuh namun menyesatkan?
* Kemunculan alien belakangan ini apakah karena mereka memang diberi kesempatan oleh Allah untuk menyesatkan manusia pada hari-hari menjelang akhir jaman?
Dapatkah dipercaya ada dimensi lain?
Mempercayai alien berasal dari planet lain adalah jauh lebih mudah daripada meyakini bahwa mereka berasal dari dimensi lain. Namun keberadaan dimensi lain nampaknya tidak mudah diabaikan begitu saja. Banyak penulis cerita fiksi, baik dari jaman dulu maupun kini, menggunakan tema kehidupan di dimensi lain ini, misalnya:
* Odyssey (Kisah Perjalanan Ullyses)
* Sinbad, si pelaut
* Christmas Carol
* Alice in the Wonderland
* Legenda Nyai Loro Kidul
Namun tentu saja, semua itu masih dapat dianggap sebagai suatu cerita. Sejauh ini, beberapa eksperimen ilmiah yang menyangkut masalah dimensi lain adalah:

* Penelitian terhadap beberapa peristiwa paranormal, seperti NDE (Near Death Experience), OBE (Out of Body Experience) atau Astral Travelling, ESP (Extra Sensory Perception), mimpi, dll.

* Keyakinan bahwa manusia mempunyai roh

* Manusia mempunyai "indera keenam"
* Munculnya makhluk halus, hantu, jin, dll

Penjelasan yang mungkin mendekati ilmiah tentang dimensi lain adalah keberadaan mereka (alien) adalah pada spektrum yang tidak mampu ditangkap oleh indera manusia, misalnya, kemampuan pengelihatan manusia terbatas dan tidak mampu melihat cahaya infra merah dan ultra violet. Demikian pula manusia tidak mampu mendengar suara infrasonic dan ultra sonic. Namun beberapa binatang mempunyai kemampuan spektrum indera yang lebih luas/berbeda dengan manusia, misalnya kelelawar mampu mendengar gelombang ultrasonic, beberapa binatang mampu mengindera kehadiran "makhluk halus", ada binatang yang mampu mengindera bakal terjadinya gempa bumi, dll.
