Date of sighting: Sept 3, 2013Location of sighting: Nat Bailey Stadium, Vancouver, Canada
Sure the guy moved the camera away from the UFO...but hey, he had a game to focus on, and any hard core fan would focus back on the game eventually. Interesting sightings and it looks like the UFO was trying to get a closer look while peeking half out from behind the tree. If there are aliens in that thing, they are cute little buggers about hand size. SCW
News states: UFO Spotted Hovering at Canadian Baseball Game. Mass UFO Sighting In Canada During Baseball Game On Camera: UFO Spotted Hovering at Canadian Baseball Game.
An Unidentified Flying Object (UFO) was spotted during a minor league baseball game taking place at the Scotiabank Field at Nat Bailey Stadium in Vancouver, Canada.
The sighting that came towards the start of the sixth inning of the game, prompted viewers at the match to tweet photos of the unusual object with glowing lights. Around the time of the UFO sighting Vancouver Canadians, one of teams playing the match, scored four runs causing some viewers to speculate it was a lucky "cosmic intervention" during the game.
The same team went on to win the match with a 5-1 score.
According to a report in Open Minds, the UFO was shining blue and was hovering over the right field fence.
It did not take long after the sighting for twitterverse to be flooded with tweets with hashtag #luckyUFO. There was a tweet from the winning team themselves about the sighting.

EDITS BY NASA, DIGITAL ARTIFACTS OR "UFO COVER-UP"?
What is not in doubt, now in the age of information, is that it sure is fun to dream big, and that's how I always feel when gazing at images from our local life- and energy-giving star: THE SUN.
This is a video example of one of the videos to question about:
But it is also important to ask the question, "are we sure these are actually edits and not simply digital hiccups or artifacts?"
It's possible that these are just pixels that were not processed in the feed from the telescopes. I reserve my judgement so far, but I am happy to offer this information out in the hopes that others will share more educated and informed opinions to assist my genuine truth-seeking. Sure, the last images certainly look like a "flying saucer", which I realize is the most popular and famous of UFOS (though the SPHERICAL UFOS are the most true and real anomalies, IMHO).
The space-based images are going to be prone to being buffeted by the solar winds and other radiation. Is that what produced the black cubes?

Australia Pidieron Archivos Ovni Perdido
Latest-UFO-Sightings.net (c) 2011

Dulce Base: the Truth and Evidence from the Case Files of Gabe Valdez by
Greg Valdez purports to reveal the truth behind the mysterious cattle
mutilations and UFO sightings that happened for decades near Dulce.

OCTOBER 24, 2013 - UNITED STATES - For decades, strange lights in the night sky and mysterious cattle mutilations have sparked rumors of a secret underground alien base near the small northern New Mexico town of Dulce, which is tribal headquarters of the Jicarilla Apache Nation.
A new book, "Dulce Base: the Truth and Evidence from the Case Files of Gabe Valdez," purports to solve the mystery. It claims that humans, not aliens, are behind the strange happenings. The book's author is Greg Valdez, son of former New Mexico State Police Officer Gabe Valdez.
In 1976, ranchers found many mutilated cows, and Gabe Valdez became one of the lead investigators into the case, his son said.
Greg Valdez says his father began a decades-long investigation into the large number of mutilations in northern New Mexico. Prior to his death in 2011, the former police officer determined that the mutilations and strange aircraft were, in fact, human-caused.
After pouring over recently declassified documents, Gabe Valdez concluded that the federal government was using the Jicarilla Apache Nation to test environmental contamination caused by nuclear testing in the late 1960s.
Greg Valdez says this contamination was caused by an experiment known as "Project Gasbuggy" that took place 21 miles southwest of Dulce on Dec. 10, 1967. The project's goal was to identify peaceful uses for nuclear explosions, and it involved the detonation of a 29-kiloton device located 4,227 feet underground. The intent was to release pockets of natural gas that could be used commercially.
Gasbuggy was carried out by the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission, the Lawrence Radiation Laboratory and the El Paso Natural Gas Company, according to the book.
While the device was successfully detonated and gas wells were drilled at the site, the gas was too radioactive for commercial use.
Greg Valdez said his father found out that the federal government conducted the cattle mutilations to determine the effects of radiation from Gasbuggy.
"They were testing the cattle to avoid panicking the public," he said. "They were also testing advanced aircraft from a nearby off-site air base. The aircraft was invisible and silent and used optic camouflage. The technology has since been declassified."
Greg Valdez alleges that several government agencies and military entities, such as the U.S. Air Force, were heavily involved in the cover-up. He says that the CIA and National Security Agency also became involved when Albuquerque businessman Paul Bennewitz discovered evidence of secret military projects on the Kirtland Air Force Base, which also had ties to Dulce.
To protect the secrecy of their operations, Gabe Valdez learned that the government started a disinformation campaign and encouraged rumors about UFOs and aliens, said Greg Valdez.
By 1979, when the government realized Gabe Valdez had discovered the truth about who was behind the strange happenings, they began monitoring him, his son said. He said the family found hidden listening devices in their home.
Aztec resident Brooks Marshall is a UFO enthusiast and local paranormal expert. Marshall has followed reports of the supposed Dulce underground base for years and has attended many symposiums and lectures on the issue.
Marshall believes there is truth to a secret military presence centered around Dulce. But he doesn't think government involvement comes close to explaining the cattle mutilations.
"From early on, the mutilations indicated a technology that we just didn't have," he said. "There was a complete absence of blood, and the incisions looked like microsurgery and laser technology had been used -- technology humans didn't have at the time. Plus, there were no tracks, and other animals -- even predators -- would avoid the carcasses, which also looked like they had been dropped from a very high distance. Many of the bones would be broken."
Marshall said specific organs, like the tongue and reproductive organs, were removed from the cattle. The mutilations still periodically occur, he said.
From his research, Marshall concludes there are two pieces to the Dulce mystery: the cattle mutilations, which he says remain unexplainable, and the government activity.
"It's my opinion that there was an extremely large underground military base," he said. "There's evidence that there was strong military activity there. One theory is that this base housed aliens."
Marshall, who once worked for El Paso Natural Gas, is familiar with the Gasbuggy Project and said he worked with employees who were directly involved with it. While he believe there have been disinformation campaigns conducted by the military to deflect attention from a possible underground base, he doesn't find credence in the theory that the cattle mutilations were the result of government tests for radioactive effects.
"It doesn't make sense that the government would test cattle in that way," he said. "All they'd have to do to test radiation levels is to walk up to the cow with a Geiger counter." - DAILY TIMES.

MAY 28, 2013 - UNITED STATES - Astrophysicist Dr. Eric W. Davis has a curious interest in UFO research. He spoke to the UFO matter while giving an address in 2010 at a Society for Scientific Exploration meeting about a book he had recently co-edited with Dr. Marc Millis, former head of NASA's Breakthrough Propulsion Physics Project.
Furthermore, while working in an official capacity for NASA in 1999, Dr. Millis attended a venture capital event hosted by known UFO enthusiast and potential investor Joe Firmage, who had openly stated his belief in having met an extraterrestrial visitor. This event led to an official investigation at NASA over potential loss of intellectual property. That investigation was ultimately dropped.
While speaking at the SSE event (see below) during the question and answer session, Dr. Davis was asked whether UFOs had "... guided [the] thinking and research" of such speculative matters as warp drive and traversable wormholes.
Dr. Davis responded, "Secretly yes and overtly no." He explained that because "... UFOs don't have credibility with mainstream academic researchers," and because policy-makers and funding agencies "... don't like the topic of UFOs," some members of the group were forced to "... consider it under the table."

Desert Yawn
Those serious ufologists over on UFO UpDates are always terribly worried that mainstream science and the mainstream media don't take them seriously. Why, they demand, do news-stories about UFO sightings always come out with the same silly X-File quips? Why don't scientists realise that there is a serious field of study in the UFO subject? Why, oh why, will no-one take us seriously?Well, perhaps this is a clue. About this time every year I get a nice brochure advertising the 'International UFO Congress and Film Festival' at a place called Laughlin, Nevada, in the middle of nowhere, or the Mohave Desert, which amounts to the same thing. This is probably one of the biggest UFO events in the world, and in the words of the organisers the speakers "will be bringing us new information, new expertise and new insights". So if someone thought this might be the place to find out just what the UFO problem is all about - and you get hotel accommodation and eight days full of presentations and movies for a dollar under 500, which sound good value to me - this might be just the place to go.Oh dear. Well let's start with the (comparatively) sensible stuff. Malcolm Robinson, the UK's representative here, gives what looks like it will be a fairly straightforward account of three Scottish cases: Livingston, the Fife UFO Incident, and the A70 UFO. Well... OK. But if you stick around afterwards the tone changes rapidly; you get a gent called David Serida telling us how reverse-engineering alien technology can solve global warming and the energy crisis. Maybe someone should tell Gordon Brown. Then there's someone describing "the basis of the Third Reich's research into hyperdimension physics... to discover a technology... that would be capable of manipulating the fabric of space-time for free energy, field propulsion and the ultimate doomsday weapon".Jaime Maussan from Mexico is a man who seems to have shot more video footage of UFOs than anyone alive,. and what's he got for the Laughlin fans this time: "See footage never shown before from all over the world, not just Mexico. This presentation will shock and amaze even the biggest skeptics out there!" Well I thing us big skeptics will be the judge of that, Jaime.Robert Dean (remember him?) will be giving "a detailed analysis of the current so-called UFO/ETI situation and why our 'government' (love those scare-quotes) still refuses to reveal anything official about the ET presence on earth and throughout the solar system." I somehow doubt that the analysis will include the possibility that there is nothing to disclose.Another name looming up from the past is Wendelle Stevens, who will be showing an interview with a US airman who was involved in six crashed UFO recoveries in the late seventies and early eighties, and tell where the craft and body bags were taken.Michael Salla, who always seems to crop up at these events, with his exopolitics shtick while be revealing "whistleblower evidence" of the secret agreements that are in place between the government and the aliens - and systematically analyses them!I thought there might be an outbreak of sanity when i saw Jim Marrs telling us "whatever you do, don't believe anything you hear from the government". Good advice, but he rather spoils it by then rambling on about how the United States is bout to turn into the Fourth Reich. And this is just the stuff that actually has something to do with UFOs. We also have the usual New Age waffle about Hopi Prophesies; talking to the spirits - bring your spirit family (presumably they don't have to pay the 499 fee); accessing your exoconsciousness; preparing for impending Planetary transformations - something to do with crop circles, this one; and to top it all a guy called Ed Grimsley will tell you how you too can see laser wars between delta- and saucer-shaped craft. But just to prove this is a real scientific conference, who do you think is there? That's right, our old friend, the seriously-bearded, serious nuclear physicist Stanton Friedman, who will be taking a break from his usual lecture circuit beat of university physics departments, Lions Clubs and cruise liners. This is desperate stuff. Even if there was a genuine scientific problem at the heart of the UFO mystery - which I doubt - what chance does it ever have of being taken seriously when it is surrounded by this carnival of freaks and fantasists? Ultimately ufology can never be a science, because the so-called 'fringe' is actually the heart of it. Without events like the Laughlin Laugh-In ufology would be just a few puzzling incidents which no-one was really terribly bothered about.

The Science Behind Ufos My Answer To Astronomy Magazine May 2013 Edition
As both articles are essentially a simple refutation of the "extraterrestrial hypothesis" and do nothing to further serious investigation of the UAP phenomena, I have sent the below comments to Astronomy magazine:
[Note: for the interested readers, a general list of a few sightings by astronomers can be found at the following links:
- http://www.nicap.org/ufoe/UFO%20Evidence%201964.pdf
(section VI, page 102)]
ABOUT CLOSE ENCOUNTERS AND THE SCIENCE BEHIND UFOS
In its May 2013 edition, Astronomy Magazine printed an article by Philip Plait entitled "The science behind UFOs" and a column by Glenn Chaple "Close Encounters". I believe that both writers confuse the issue of extra-terrestrial intelligence with the issue of UFO, as they seem to associate this acronym with alien spacecraft.
Although that it is well known that many UFOs sightings are mistaken identifications of common phenomena by people with little experience at looking at the sky, this is not a valid argument for dismissing all sightings and discrediting the whole topic. I agree with the authors that turning UFOs into IFOs is important, as cataloguing known events to dispel errors and correct misinterpretations can help the public to understand many diverse natural and man-made phenomena that take place in the sky. On the other hand, it appears that this approach is incomplete and risks narrowing our "functional fixedness".
It is important to leave open the possibility that there are yet new discoveries to be made. Whenever there are unexplained atmospheric observations, there is the possibility for scientists to learn something new by studying those sightings. Unexplained aerial phenomena should be treated seriously and a rigorous scientific evaluation of credible sightings should be done, as from a scientific point of view they may represent an unknown and unexplained phenomenon.
Open and rational discussion of the topic should be encouraged. Ignoring or refusing to discuss or debate challenging and unidentified UFO cases could lead some to conclude that science has something to hide, therefore fuelling all sorts of conspiracy theories. In addition, it can be argued that paying more attention to UFOs or at least being more respectful would be a welcome signal to the public that science does not dismiss topics the public find intriguing. It would also show that science does not dismiss an experience that occurs to a non-negligible portion of the public (5-10% of the public report a UFO sighting). Moreover, almost every new discovery in astrobiology and astronomy increases the probability of extra-terrestrial life, and answering questions such as what extraterrestrials could be like and will they ever visit us makes astronomy interesting to young people. Ignoring the possibility or refusing to discuss it doesn't.
Finally, I agree with the authors that astronomers (like pilots) are, on average, better observers. However it is important to add that some of them, including well known and respected astronomers, such as Clyde Tombaugh or Lincoln La Paz, have indeed observed UFOs.
Completely Far Fetched
The Kougar's comment at Bree Younger's Tuesday Tattoo blog ~ Oh-my-gawd... I must have him for my collection of angel men. I'll bet Volcano, my carnal cherub hero, knows him. He might even be a celestial relative.
After midnight meows, my frisky and freewheeling Felines... strange times, my darlings, strange times... a rather mild summer day on the tame prairie... what an explosion of jungly growth, though... plants around the Kougaress's mailbox, probably alfalfa, grew several inches overnight... oh, hang onto your tails and your whiskers, Beautiful Big Cats, because the ride only gets bumpier from now on.

UFO expert and editor of Unicus Magazine, Robert Stanley discussed how the location of Washington DC has been a hotbed for UFO activity over the years. Hundreds of people witnessed the numerous 1952 sightings over the Capitol, and some took photos and movies, which the government attempted to confiscate, he stated. According to his sources, during this time, two US jets went up to intercept one of the UFOs over Capitol Hill, and "were either disintegrated or beamed up and never returned."
The National Mall has had a lot of UFO activity, said Stanley, describing an incident that took place at the Millennial celebration held there on January 1, 2000, in which witnesses reportedly saw cylindrical motherships that released smaller triangular craft. The UFOs were said to suddenly disappear when military helicopters swooped in. Stanley said that he himself has been subject to visitations from unmarked black helicopters hovering over his home, possibly to harass him over his UFO research.
UFOs/ETs have focused on Washington because it's the seat of power, and further, there appears to be an alien base underneath the city, he argued. He arrived at this conclusion because of the frequency of the sightings, witnesses that have described craft that hover low to the ground and disappear, and the huge number of tunnels and bases known to exist underground in the area. Alarmingly, Stanley suggested that these alien or interdimensional visitors may actually be controlling key leaders in the government.

If Only The Paranormal Could Remove That On Going Black Eye
*
A fellow paranormal investigator called me yesterday. We were talking about the sightings of UFO's all over the world. We noted how the subject of ghosts and unknown strange events seem to always spike in occurrence during the month of October. We realize that this may be due in part to it being Halloween season. We also think there is a natural cycle that seems to bring about paranormal events during this time of year. While talking with my paranormal pal she brought up her aggravation with the reaction so many have to unknown subjects. Like many who try to investigate or write about these things the difficulty of dealing with those we are trying to share information with can be very depressing.
Many who have tried to bring the truth of the paranormal to the public have simply walked away. Discussing this is when my pal blurted out:" If only we could stop the on going slap in the face that constantly gives the paranormal a on going Black Eye- we could maybe figure things out!"
Her statement is true as those who do try to spread the information on these subjects face constant hurdles and barriers by way of the frauds, skeptics, frightened and ignorant. The fact so many people place so much time and effort in clouding the arena with fake reports, false claims, faked photo's and video's keeps the subjects in the paranormal at a dead end.
Many people simply ridicule that which they do not want to understand. Others show apathy with little on no interest at all. The majority of society seems self-involved with daily life and do not care what is going on past their own nose. It is no deep mystery why disclosure has not and will not be necessary. Those who have real knowledge about these subjects are protected by way of our own hands. We willingly stay in the dark, which makes the need to disclose unnecessary. We keep ourselves locked in the dark by our own hands.
The hands that fake the video's, the hands that Photoshop the photo's, the hands that make up ridiculous scenario's of false abductions or sightings, the hands that fake ghost voices or claim light actions of cheap cameras are spiritual orbs- all those hands keep us dumb and living in the dark of what will remain the unknown.
Of course the Internet has increased this mess to the point where an alien race could land on the Brooklyn Bridge and the public would tease, laugh and ridicule whoever witnessed the event. We have been trained by all the dirty hands polluting these subjects to simply mix all the nonsense with the real events leaving it all a pile of tangled confusion.
I have spoken to credible honest good people who will not talk openly about the encounters they have lived through. They fear the reaction of those they live and work with. That fear of rejection is far worse then the actual event they endured. How sad is it that we have been trained to reject the very things we need to be exploring? It leaves us with a constant black eye on the world of the paranormal. So many dirty hands do produce one heck of a shiner!
I watch as the need to be seen, heard or paid attention to have people rushing to report a sighting they did not have or abduction that never took place. In time you can spot the frauds by a mile, as they tend to over do the report. They also use ridiculous similarities that thread the fakes from the true experiences. Those who have had real encounters are often similar in the way they report events. It does not take long to separate those who are truthful to those who are not.
It is sad so many people spend hours carrying out these fraudulent claims. I am sure they are looking for fame, glory or money. Those who work in this subject matter will gladly tell you there is little fame or glory in this work and money is long and hard to come by. If those are you motives you are in the wrong area for sure.
The people who are in need of attention or extremely lonely who use the paranormal are more difficult to contend with. I think many may need help from trained professionals and should not be lost in an area that could increase their anxiety. Finding lost souls in a world that can be slick and harsh is always sad. However those who make fake video's or photo shop a fake sighting to show off their skills are truly the ones delivering the worst black eyes to those trying to swim against the odds to the truth of paranormal events.
It would be wonderful if those lost in fantasy would stick to science fiction. It would be great for them to keep that sensation of silly stories that fill them with movie house giggles and screams in their movie theaters. It would be wonderful if we could split the turf leaving the attention thrill seekers to their games and those who are living the real deal free to speak out without fear of being abused when they speak out about extraordinary events they have encountered.
I have been walking these confusing roads for most of my lifetime. I try to sort out the truthful from the frauds. It is difficult at times for even the most hardened interviewer to be sure about those we talk to and write about. We try to use our backgrounds, experience, and gut feelings to the best of our ability. Unfortunately we make mistakes and believe those who have private agenda's. The Paranormal is used and abused by so many that the truth often gets lost in the confusion.
I do know as it stands real honest sightings and encounters with the unknown are washed down in importance by the dirty hands inflicting the black eyes of false statements and photo's.
Next time you become angry at the way we are all kept in the dark about so many things paranormal understand a great deal of it is of our own doing.
As it stands the subjects of the paranormal are the best laugh around. As it now exists we spend hours faking reports and video's. We keep things unknown a huge joke. As long as this remains the norm the subjects of the unknown will never become known and the truth will remain lost to our own ignorance. I am afraid the paranormal will remain this way until we grow up and become adult enough to deal with them.
Look at how we allow the very people who should be protecting us the freedom to call every recent sighting Chinese lanterns or reflective lights from other sources. We are the ones who willingly and quickly laugh at those who see things they do not understand and willingly accept all ridiculous explanations without question.
Until we stop all these actions towards these subjects we will forever remain locked in the Dark Ages of the Unknown.
A short time ago along a friend and I witnessed a strange bright orb type craft hovering over the Long Island Sound. The Sound is a large body of water between Long Island New York and Connecticut. This week I read many people in Connecticut also witnessed strange crafts flying over their state. I knew at once that what I had seen and what they were seeing had to be connected. I also knew it would be fruitless to try to connect the two as the police in Connecticut where already on the ridicule train tagging the sightings Chinese Lanterns. I am wondering who owns this large gaggle of Chinese lanterns as they seem to be simply being let loose all over the world lately? I think they are playing out the lantern excuse for all it is worth. I also know what I saw that night and it was NOT a Chinese lantern!
I hope some of you give thought to what we have done to our own road towards knowledge concerning the world of the unknown.
I know until we can deal with our own fears concerning these things we will remain in the dark. Until we have had enough of those who keep us fools and fooled we will remain as we are- standing in the dark with a big black eye!

John Greenewald, Jr. began investigating government cover-ups through the Freedom of Information Act at age fifteen. Since then, he's built The Black Vault, a website devoted to sharing the documents he's acquired over the years relating to mind control, ufos, secret technology, and many other hidden government programs. Now twenty-six, John has his own radio program, Black Vault Radio, and has become a successful TV producer whose work can be seen on The History Channel and the National Geographic Channel, to name a few. He's also a familiar face at many UFO conferences across the country. We'll talk about his work in radio and TV, and will hear about some of his most recent projects. Call or e-mail me with your questions for John, or log on to Paltalk.com to join in the conversation.

Ufo Crashes In Latin America
by: Scott Corrales
The fax machine groaned as a ragged-edged piece of thermal paper emerged from it. In spite of having originated many thousands of miles away. the message felt as real and immediate as a tap on the shoulder.
"CONFIRMED," it began. "There was a UFO crash in Salta [Argentina] around the 17th or the 18th of August 1995, and it was all covered up. The incident occurred in the vicinity of Mt. El Crest'on near Met'an, Salta. Thousands of people witnessed the UFO's maneuvers...it was apparently struck by air-to-air missiles by an unknown type of aircraft (triangular?) and knocked out of the sky. Hours later a small private plane flew over the crash site and it too fell to the ground. The pilot later said that source of electromagnetic energy caused his plane to crash. Subsequently, the area was cordoned off by Argentinean and foreign military personnel (NASA/Delta?), giving rise to the cover-up. We were unable to visit the site ourselves due to the great distance involved, but we learned through our contacts that strange corpses were found amid the wreckage...the craft was saucer-shaped, measuring some six hundred fifty feet across. Some rumors spoke of two hundred dead occupants, and still other rumors suggested that the vast number of corpses was sent to Mendoza and then to the U.S. by plane."
UFO researcher Guillermo Aldunati, one of Argentina's finest investigators and the author of the fax, never managed to conduct an investigation himself due to a number of circumstances (the five-hundred mile distance one of them, as the fax indicates), but the implications were enough to make anyone dizzy. Irresistible images of a thundering battle over the Pampas between improbable aircraft were soon replaced by a sinking sensation. The whole episode seemed like something out of a movie, and not even the most powerful governments in the world, nor the greatest conspiracy, could ever hide two hundred alien corpses from the public.
Nevertheless, something did in fact occur in Argentina's remote northern reaches, as evidenced by the mute testimony of the tortured landscape -- whatever it was that struck the ground tore vegetation from the ground and left deep scars on the surrounding hillsides. The impact was of such magnitude that seismometers ninety miles away from the region were set in motion.
According to information published in the press, a team of rescuers from the town of Rosario de Lerma, almost 150 miles from the crash site, set off to the area to initiate operations. "We had no idea it could be, but we went there thinking we'd find injured people," stated Pedro Olivera, the leader of the rescue team. Olivera went on to state that officials later told his group that "an object had exploded in mid-air" but would add nothing further. The rescue team visited Cerrillo, La Merced, Carril and other towns, and in each stop, found excited witnesses telling them about the uncanny celestial event, the subsequent explosion, and the rumbling of the earth beneath their feet.
Olivera's team struck pay dirt when they reached the foothills of Mt. Crest'on, a nine thousand-foot peak. They found themselves staring at an alien vista of charred vegetation and scorched rocks, and in the middle of this devastation, sat a metallic object which reflected the feeble rays of the sun. The rescuers radioed their superiors, advising them that the object had been located. Without any further explanation, the authorities ordered the rescuers to advance no further and to return to their base.
But the incident does not end there: on August 18, 1995, villagers and townspeople reported seeing four wheel drive vehicles manned by English-speaking personnel speeding toward the crash site. The testimony of an anonymous technician of the National University at Salta is particularly interesting: apparently, the foreign personnel was accompanied by university staffers and technicians from the local nuclear power plant. The foreigners, according to this account, took with them chunks of a thin, metallic material resembling aluminum. The fragments allegedly "assumed a concave shape when joined" and had an unusual consistency. The anonymous university informer claims that all present were instructed to say that fragments of a meteorite had been found, and that pieces of rock should be shown to the press.
Ra'ul C'ordoba, a Saltan journalist interviewed by Buenos Aires' Cr'onica newspaper on September 1, 1995 stated that "there is no doubt that we have NASA personnel here trying to conceal the truth, assisted by members of the National University at Salta, since it is already involved in the matter but refuses to publicize its involvement."
And what of the pilot mentioned in Sr. Aldunati's fax? His name was Antonio Galvagno, an experienced crop duster, conducted repeated fly-overs and landed at a number of farmsteads to interview their owners about the event. All witnesses agreed in their descriptions of the object: a very large, silvery, tubular object which exploded in the air before crashing.
As he flew his small crop duster between two hills, he noticed a long strip of burned vegetation, "as if someone had poured gasoline in a straight line and set fire to it." Galvagno landed and camped for the night, intending to visit the intriguing area the following morning. As the small plane took off the next day, something inexplicable occurred: the small twin engine craft plummeted from the sky as if it had flown into an airless vacuum. Galvagno put his six thousand hours of flight time to the test and managed to make a successful crash landing on a nearby hill.
However, this was hardly the first time that UFOs had crashed in the Salta region.
One evening in May 1978, the population of Villa Mercedes swamped its local radio station with phone calls concerning an unearthly procession of fifty UFOs across the night skies. Otto Gall, the broadcaster on duty, was able to run outside and verify the events for himself: the wedge-shaped formation of greenish-blue UFOs grew from fifty to a hundred between 10:15 p.m. and midnight.
Ra'ul P'erez, a sergeant at the nearby Villa Reynolds air base, reported that the objects were flying at an estimated 15,000 feet, and appeared to be soundless, oval-shaped vehicles lacking any portholes or windows. Local shortwave operators were able to pick up Chilean broadcasts from across the border which announced that an enormous fleet of "flying saucers" had just entered the area.
Further reports indicated that the aerial display was followed by an enormous detonation allegedly caused by a UFO which plummeted to the ground. The National Gendarmerie sent out its 210th Squadron to comb a vast area of wilderness comprising the localities of Barit'u, Las Pavas and Los Toldos in an effort to find the crashed saucer.
One newspaper, El Tribuno, reported that the object had gone down in a gully ominously known as "Bols'on de los Fantasmas" ("The Ghostly Depths") near Sante Victoria. However, General V'ictor Gonz'alez of the Argentinean High Command reported that the object had fallen near the town of Or'an. Argentinean commandos continued the search right up to the Bolivian border, where they learned that their neighbors were also engaged in locating another downed UFO. The Bolivian government, however, refused to discuss its search.

Russian Underwater Encounters:What Lurks Beneath The SurfaceByPaul StonehillIn the summer of 1982, Mark Shteynberg, along with Lt. Colonel Gennady Zverev, were conducting periodic training of the reconnaissance divers ("frogmen") of the Turkestan and Central Asian military regions. The training exercises had been taking place at the Issik Kul Lake, a deep water lake in the Transiliysk Ala Tau area.Quite unexpectedly the officers were paid a visit by a very important official, Major-General V. Demyanko, commander of the Military Diver Service of the Engineer Forces of the Ministry of Defense, USSR. He arrived to inform the local officers of an extraordinary event that had occurred during similar training exercises in the Trans-Baikal and West Siberian military regions. There, during their military training dives, the frogmen had encountered mysterious underwater swimmers, very human-like, but huge in size (almost three meters in height!)The swimmers were clad in tight-fitting silvery suits, despite icy-cold water temperatures. At the depth of fifty meters, these "swimmers" had neither scuba diving equipment ("aqualungs"), nor any other equipment, only sphere-like helmets concealing their heads.Well, the local military commander (quite alarmed by such encounters) decided to capture one of the creatures. With that purpose in mind, a special group of seven divers, under the command of an officer, had been dispatched. As the frogman tried to cover the creature with a net, the entire group was thrown out of the deep waters to the surface by some powerful force. Now, because autonomous equipment of the frogmen does not allow surfacing from such depths without strict adherence to the process of decompression stops, all of the members of the ill-fated expedition were stricken by aeroembolism, of the Caisson disease. The only remedial treatment available consisted of an immediate confinement under decompression conditions in a pressure chamber. They had several such pressure chambers in the military region, but only one in working condition. It could contain no more than two persons.Hence, local CO had forced four frogmen into the chamber. As a result, three of them (including the leader of the group) perished, and the rest became invalids - terrible consequences caused by the usual Soviet military bungling. The major-general rushed to the Issik Kul to warn the local military against similar "devil-may-care" actions. Although the Issik Kul Lake is more shallow than the Baikal Lake, the depth of the former was sufficient to contain similar mysterious creatures. Did the major-general know something that Officer Shteynberg did not?A short time later, the staff headquarters of the Turkmenistan military region had received an order from the Commander-in-Chief of the Land Forces. The order consisted of detailed analysis of the Baikal Lake events and reprimands. It was supplemented by an information bulletin from the headquarters of the Engineer Forces of the Ministry of Defense,USSR. The bulletin listed numerous deepwater lakes where there had been registered sightings of anomalous phenomena: appearances of underwater creatures analogous to the Baikal type, descent and surfacing of giant discs and spheres, powerful luminescence emanating from the deep, etc.Such documents, without exception, were highly classified and "for the eyes" of a very limited circle of military officers. The purpose fo such documents was "to prevent unnecessary encounters...."The territory under the military unit jurisdiction where Shteynberg served had an anomalous water reservoir, the Sarez Lake (in the Pamir area). It was roughly a kilometer and a half deep. Sarez is visible to those stationed at a "tracking point" in the Pamir Mountains (the "tracking" is of American SDI satellites by Russians). Superpowerful instruments and devices of the Soviet military sub-unit (that had been doing the actual "tracking") had repeatedly registered submersion int Sarez of disc-like objects, their surfacing and subsequent liftoff. The files of the Russian Ufology Research Center contain much more information about Russian underwater sightings, including statements of Naval officers and intelligence operatives. While the most interesting information will be published in the new book, co-authored by Paul Stonehill and Philip Mantle, it is safe to conclude that the Soviets (before), and the Russians (now) are preoccupied with the strange and sinister creatures lurking in their waters. The Russian Ufology Research Center has a collection of "hydrosphere aspect" sightings. The secret files of the Soviet Navy contain much valuable information on UFO sightings. Soviet military researchers are quite thorough. The files have been largely inaccessible, even after the fall of the USSR. But I was able to collect some interesting information.Submarines Mr. Krapiva, who resides in Ukraine, attended numerous lectures presented by veteran officers of Soviet nuclear-powered submarines. They had served in the Soviet North, aboard secret naval installations and bases. The lectures sometimes veered off the planned presentations, and many spellbinding tales were told. For instance, episodes when Soviet sonar-operators (military hydroacoustics technicians) were "hearing" (at great depths) strange "targets". Their submarines were actually being chased by other "submarines". The pursuers changed their speed at will -- speeds that were much faster than any other similar vessel in the world at that time Lieutenant-Commander Oleg Sokolov confidentially informed the students that while he was on duty during his submarine's navigation, he had observed through a periscope an ascent of some strange object through the water. He was not able to identify it, because he viewed it through the optical system of the periscope. This underwater "take off" took place in the early 1960's.SevastopolA few years ago V.V. Krapiva met with Professor Korsakov of the Odessa University. Professor Korsakov told him of a conversation he had with a friend of his, a Soviet Navy officer who had served at the Sevastopol Naval base. Back in the 1950's this officer personally sighted a UFO. The object ascended from behind a battle cruiser. The officer was under the impression that the object surfaced from the depths of the Black Sea. Professor Korsakov has a photograph of the object.Eyewitness Reports In August 1965, a crew of the steamship RADUGA, while navigating in the Red Sea, observed an unusual phenomenon. At about two miles away, a fiery sphere dashed out from under the water and hovered over the surface of the sea, illuminating it. The sphere was sixty meters in diameter, and it hovered above the sea at an altitude of 150 meters. A gigantic pillar of water ascended upwards, as the sphere emerged from the sea and collapsed some moments later. In December 1977, not far from the Novy Georgy Island, the crew of the fishing trawler VASILY KISELEV also observed something quite extraordinary. Rising vertically from under the water was a doughnut-shaped object. Its diameter was between 300 and 500 meters. It hovered at the altitude of four to five kilometers. The trawler's radar station was immediately rendered inoperative. The object hovered over the area for three hours, and then disappeared instantly. The testimony of Alexander G. Globa, a seaman from GORI, a Soviet tanker, was published in Zagadki Sfinksa magazine (Issue # 3, 1992) Odessa,.In June of 1984, GORI was in the Mediterranean, twenty nautical miles from the Straight of Gibraltar. At 16:00, Globa was on duty. With him was Second-in-Command S. Bolotov. They were standing watch at the left bridge extension wing when both men observed a strange polychromatic object. When the object was astern, it stopped suddenly. S. Bolotov was agog, shaking his binoculars and shouting: "It is a flying saucer, a real saucer, my God, hurry, hurry, look!" Globa looked through his own binoculars and saw, at a distance over the stern, a flattened out looking object (it did remind him of an upside-down frying pan). The UFO was gleaming with a grayish metallic shine. The lower portion of the craft had a precise round shape, its diameter no more than twenty meters. Around the lower portion of it Globa also observed "waves" of protuberances on the outside plating. The base of the object's body consisted of two semi-discs, the smaller being on top; they slowly revolved in opposing directions. At the circumference of the lower disc Globa saw numerous shining, bright, bead-like lights. The seaman's attention was centered on the bottom portion of the UFO. It looked as if it was completely even and smooth, its color that of a yolk, and in the middle of it Globa discerned a round, nucleus-like stain. At the edge of the UFO's bottom, which was easily visible, was something that looked like a pipe. It glowed with an unnaturally bright rosy color, like a neon lamp. The top of the middle disc was crowned by a triangular-shaped something. It seemed that it moved in the same direction as the lower disc, but at a much slower pace.Suddenly the UFO jumped up several times, as if moved by an invisible wave. Many lights illuminated its bottom portion. The crew of GORI tried to attract the object's attention using a signal projector. By that time Captain Sokolovky was on the desk with his men. He and his Second-in-Command were watching the object intensely. However, the UFO's attention was distracted by another ship, approaching at the port side. It was an Arab dry cargo ship, on its way to Greece. The Arabs confirmed that the object hovered over their ship. A minute and a half later the object changed its flight's trajectory, listed to the right, gained speed and ascended rapidly. The Soviet seamen observed that when it rose through the clouds, appearing and disappearing again, it would occasional shine in the sun's rays. The craft then flared up, like a spark, and was gone instantly.HistoryThe earliest mention of giant beings (resembling Shteynberg's "swimmers") goes back to early 1900's. Several boys in Georgia (Russian Empire) discovered a cave inside a mountain, full of human-like skeletons. Each skeleton was three meters in height. To get to the cave, the boys had to dive into a lake. George Papashvili and his wife recall the incident in a book, Anything Can Happen published in New York in 1925, St. Martin's Press.Vladimir Georgiyevich Ajaja, nowadays is a prominent personality in the Russian Ufological Association. But he was not always a ufologist, and when he became one, he earned the ire of the Communist Party's dislike of those who study forbidden topics. With the help of his highly placed Navy buddies, he was able to write a piece about the Bermuda Triangle for Nauka I Zhizhn, a respected Soviet scientific magazine. After all, he was a marine researcher, who, on numerous occasions, studied the depths of the Atlantic Ocean from aboard a Soviet submarine (with many features designed by him). Other mainstream Soviet marine researchers would not touch such a "questionable" subject. In his search for the information, two sources helped him: Charles Berlitz's The Bermuda Triangle book that mentioned UFOs (he could find no other books in the libraries), and Vice-Admiral Y.V. Ivanov, head of the Naval Intelligence Directorate. Ajaja found out that the Naval Intelligence had long considered UFOs to be a subject of serious investigation. But his newly found conviction put him on thin ice. Ajaja's efforts to study and promote ufology made him a target of the science officialdom, and the Party functionaries. His name was smeared in the Soviet media. Ajaja's works were blacklisted. His lectures were outlawed. He was fired from several jobs, and prevented from speaking publicly. Again, his Navy buddies helped him land a job, and write about UFOs for their practical use. In his brochure ATTENTION: UFOS he stated that the UFO wave of 1989, still in progress in 1991 when it was published, had swept away ideological and censorship barriers which were placed against ufology in the USSR. But because of the years of silence, the country has been rendered totally unprepared for UFO phenomena. So he helped organize the SOYUZUFOTSENTR to promote scientific study of UFO phenomena. It broke away from its cradle, the Soviet Academy of Sciences, because as were numerous other people, Ajaja was convinced that those responsible for the UFO research within the Academy actually prevented true and unbiased research.A.Gorbovsky, a Soviet historian and noted writer, now residing in the United Kingdom, published a book titled Enigmas of Ancient History in the early 1970's. For many people in the Soviet Union this book was an introduction to the forbidden world of ufology, of paleocontact (a Russian term for the ancient astronaut hypothesis), and mysteries of our ancient history. Gorbovsky mentions an incident that took place in the ancient Mediterranean where people observed a strange underwater vehicle surfacing at high speed. The object ejected itself from the water, and shortly thereafter disappeared.B. Borovikov hunted Black Sea sharks for many years. Then something happened that put an end to his hobby. Diving in the Anapa area, he descended to the depth of eight meters. He saw giant beings rising up from below. They were milky-white, but with humanoid faces, and something like fish tails. The being ahead of its companions noticed Borovikov, and stopped. It had giant bulging eyes, as if in some vague glasses. The other two joined it. The first one waved her hand - it was definitely a hand with membranes -towards the diver. All of them approached the diver, and stopped at a short distance. Then they turned around, and swam away. Borovikov's experience was published in XX vek: khronika neobjasnimogo (Moscow, 1996).D. Povaliyayev was handgliding over Kavgolov (Leningrad area) in the early 1990's. There are lakes, and in one of them the skydiver noticed three giant "fish". He descended, and was able to discern "swimmers" in silvery costumes. He mentioned the episode in his book Letuchi Gollandets (1995). There have been many UFO sightings in the area.Paul Stonehill Russian Ufology Research Center P.O. Box 571951 Tarzana, CA. 91357-1951To those of you interested in the current UFO research, remember the names of present-day Russian and Ukrainian ufologists who doggedly pursue the study of the phenomenon, in spite of the great difficulties experienced by their countries. I have nothing but respect for people like Aleksandr Rempel, Yuri Smirnov, Nikolay Subbotin, Gherman Kolchin, Mikhail Gershtein, Vadim Chernobrov, Dr. Rubtsov, and others like them. I hope that I and Philip Mantle will be able to tell you about them and their research in our new book. And if any of you are truly interested in Russian/CIS ufology, let the information I have provided here be your first step on a road of discovery.Paul Stonehill"I wrote to the e-mail address that was on the end of this article for permission to publish but the address was no longer viable. I felt this was so interesting that you all needed to read it!Years ago I investigated a case where a man was swimming in a pond near Federal Way, Washington. He saw a little being swimming under the water. As he approached it swam into some grasses and he lost it.Aileen

History Channel - Original Air Date: 2/2/11 (?)
This show claims that its team of "top scientists" will search the globe for bigfoot, doubt its existence, discover shocking new evidence, and wonder if weve been searching for the wrong creature all along. In 2009, North Americans reported 250 bigfoot sightings. The show plots 10,000 sightings on a world map to determine patterns. More than 95% of all reported sightings are in Asia or North America; nearly 70% of these are at high altitude with dense tree cover. Hotspots include the Himalayas (Yeti), Indonesia (Orang Pendek), Central Asia (neanderthals), and North America (Sasquatch). The wilds of British Columbia have one of the highest concentrations of sightings in the world. The show then does numerous recreations of sightings (with quite good special effects). Team members include Jeff Meldrum (from the stone-throwing MonsterQuest incident), Ian Redmond (bigfoot hunter), Anna Nekaris, Bill Sellers, and Jack Rink.
They look at video footage, trying to sort out the hoaxes -- like the one from Bamf (sp?) Canada (a local promotion) -- and images too blurry to be any good. Once theyve eliminated these, theres not much left. The team isnt surprised, as animals can be hard to photograph -- and cite the recent discovery of the bili ape. (I however, would point out the pictures of this ape are much, much better than any bigfoot evidence, despite all the bigfoot searching.) They look at a "tree structure" in the woods (which looks like a tree fall to me) and speculate it may be territory marking by bigfoot. They do some moonlight hunting and engage in tree knocking and "call blasting" and even use tracking dogs. Of course, they find nothing.
Then they look at the Patterson film. Redmond and Nikaris point out the "natural gait" of the creature (they clearly havent seen the clips of Bob Heoronimous walking with his natural gait); Sellers and Rink are skeptical, pointing out that Patterson was a scoundrel. Journalist Mike McCleod relays that Patterson never held a steady job, claimed to be an "inventor," and published a book on Bigfoot ("Do Abominable Snowmen of America Really Exist?") a year before featuring a sketch similar to what he later claimed to photograph. Patterson also borrowed money to direct a film about bigfoot and was down on his luck. The whole thing seems to good to be true. The team remains split on the authenticity, and Im still disappointed these "experts" apparently havent seen the National Geographic "Is It Real "special I referenced above, which convinced me the Patterson film is a fake. The team does dismiss the "skunk ape" Florida sightings as most likely "pet" chimps (or other apes) released by their owners.
Then Meldrum looks at the famous Shipton Yeti prints, which hes convinced are real -- if perhaps pathological because of the twin big toes on one foot. (He ignores the idea that the print is something else distorted by snow melt. None of the rest of the photos look like the "footprint" cast to me.) The show points out that only one species of primate is known to live in cold weather, and speculates that Yeti might have adapted, too. Redmond, at least believes that Yeti dont live in the snow, but merely pass through. He also believes in a lowland yeti called "mandi baru" (sp). They mention the yarin as well, and quickly turn to "gigantopithecus "as a possible explanation. Could Bigfoot be this human offshoot/ancestor? There are sightings of such creatures worldwide, especially in Russia, where they are called "almas". They recount a Red Army encounter with such a creature and then talk about the "hobbit" found in SE Asia and orang pendek. Then they turn to "homo heidelbergensis", a large-framed human offshot, as a likely suspect. We then get stories or bigfoots/wildmen chasing and kidnapping women.
Jack Rink then suggests that bigfoot isnt a throwback, but rather modern humans who have deliberately adapted to the wild -- possibly as part of a shamanistic ritual. In British Columbia, one First Nations archeologist believes that Squamish nation initiates spent years training in the woods, covering themselves in moss to keep warm. When these "wild people" were seen by members of other societies, they led to the legends. The show then suggests that these shamanic traditions may continue even today, all over the world. But is this enough to explain all the sightings worldwide? The team weighs all the evidence and -- not surprisingly -- the skeptics remain skeptical and the believers remain believers. What seems clear is that the Patterson film escalated sightings, but not all sightings are hoaxes or easily explained. Bill Sellers points out that if these creatures were real, there should be more solid physical evidence.
With a title like "Bigfoot: The Definitive Guide", one would hope for a show full of sightings and good science. While we do get plenty of stories and sightings, a pretty good overview of the phenomenon, and a veritable catalog of bigfoots, bigfoot-like creatures, and suspects for what bigfoot could really be, the science beyond that cataloging is very much of the "I want to believe" variety rather than actual "how can we form a hypothesis and test it" science. What we mostly get, rather than "good" science is speculation, lots and lots of speculation.

The flurry of Unidentified Flying Objects spotted near Stephenville earlier this month extended to San Antonio and UFO's were also spotted over Victoria and as far south as Corpus Christi, 1200 WOAI's Bud Little has learned.
Some 200 people reported seeing UFO's over Stephenville, in Erath County southeast of Dallas on the evening of January 8th. But Walter Andrus Junior, the co-founder of the Mutual UFO Network, says the same night, unidentified objects were spotted in the skies over San Antonio, visible in the western sky and reported by observers at Interstate 10 and Wurzbach Road, on the northwest side.
"They say a large, cigar shaped object in the western sky," Andrus said. "It had many lights on it, from front to back."
Andrus says MUFON will talk with people in San Antonio, as well as in Victoria and near Corpus Christi, who also saw the objects that night. He says it's a lot easier to get statements out of people about UFO's today than when he helped start MUFON in the 1970s, because what is referred to as the 'laughter curtain' which painted people who said they saw UFOs as cranks or worse, has been lifted.
"The lights were so bright that it was difficult to estimate the size of the object," Andrus says about the UFO sightings over Texas.
He says a complete report on the sightings may not be completed until the end of 2008.

Ufo Sighting In Salt Lake City Utah On August 17Th 2013 Recurrent Huge Lights In The Evening Sky
UFO SIGHTING IN SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH ON AUGUST 17TH 2013 - RECURRENT HUGE LIGHTS IN THE EVENING SKYI live in the Millcreek area of salt lake and have a fabulous view. WE sit outside all the time. Starting on August 17th myself and multiple witnesses have seen, photographed and videotaped two bright objects ( larger than stars ) > the larger of the two appears, hovers for 10-15 minutes at a time. It then pulsates, becomes brighter, dimmer...... A smaller object is sometimes seen. It flies directly into the larger object, then flies away. It circles the object and changes directions many times. The larger object will then move to the North, disappears, reappears several times. Sometimes it also appears that the large r object emits a light toward the ground. The object is in the western sky to the south of the Great Salt Lake. I see planes fly above and below it. It is BELOW the cloud cover I have posted this on FB and several people have seen the same thing. One person for two years. It She also spotted a large black aircraft fly over her house. I have contacted the media-nothing. FAA-nothing I have spoken with an astronomer. He said it is not a star, or satellite or conventional aircraft. This object is out there every night My photos were taken on a tripod. Bulb mode auto ISO F 10 i have a nightvison video on the first generation sony camcorder but I have to get it off my recorder.2013 SIGHTING REPORT(via MUFON.com)Learn about: an amazing NASA UFO Sighting Video and Blatant Cover-Up.Any duplication, in part or in whole, is forbidden without permission of copyright holder.
