The show also told how Todd has a bad reputation among many bigfoot researchers and said his stories was kind of out there.

Well Todd Standing has now made a statement about the show and he tells quite a different story about what really happened while filming the show.

Here is what Todd said -

"I just wanted to make this clear. I offered all of the cast from "Finding Bigfoot" the opportunity to go into my research site. They refused and cannot. They will not film more then 500 yards from a road. Matt is an out of shape smoker that cannot hike up hills and Bobo has perminently injured his feet working as a commercial fisherman. I only gave them permission to use Video 2 because it is...public anyway and i did not trust them when they refused to take or acknowledge my physical evidence( hair and scatt from bigfoot). That alone who have proved even to Renee that it could not be a man in a suit, unless i can fake DNA. I was deceived by them from begining to end. The day of the shoot i called them all on what a bullshit production they where playing. Their production company is call "Snake oil productions" and they lived up to their name. It was a very important lesson i had to learn and i am glad it's over. Bobo has appologized to me and explained his postion."

Thats right folks.... Todd said Matt Moneymaker is" an out of shape smoker that can't not hike up hills" well if that is the case he will have a hard time finding a bigfoot.

I'm not a big fan of Matt Moneymaker and I find many times I do not agree with him..but when it comes to Todd Standing I fine it rather easy to agree with him. I think at one point Todd had a real sighting but the photos he has release in the past appear to be very fake.

And last Friday, Peckman upped the ante by showing footage (to select members of the press, no photos or recording allowed) of an actual living, breathing alien peeking through a window. But here's the thing...

The video was just a piece of a much longer video shot by one of Colorado's own, Stan Romanek. And Stan? He's a weird guy. I was fortunate enough to catch a much longer dog-and-pony show he himself did for a standing-room-only crowd on the Auraria campus a few months ago. I'm fairly sure I was the only member of the press in attendance, seeing as how the vast majority of the crowd was drawn from the ranks of the UFO faithful. In short, Stan was preaching to the converted. And I was one of them.

Yes, I believe in UFOs. I believe in alien life. My wife and I have seen (and reported to the Mutual UFO Network) one UFO ourselves - not a spaceship, not an alien, but a truly unidentified flying object, outside Wagon Mound, New Mexico, six or seven years ago - and I have spent time since then hanging with the UFO community, trying to learn.

Which was why I knew Romanek's name. He is, to quote from his own website, www.stanromanek.com, at the center of "the most scientifically documented [case of] human/extraterrestrial encounters in the world. There have been well over 100 individually unique experiences that Stan has encountered since December, 2000 that remain unexplainable. Being abducted is only one of many experiences."

Among the believers, Romanek is a big dog. He's like Wayne Newton in Vegas. The man really packs 'em in. And when he showed the full cut of the alien-peeking-through-a-window video to the faithful? Needless to say, the room went nuts.

But not me. I was just disappointed. It looked so patently fake, so ridiculously cheap and goofy. In the course of the presentation, Stan had laid out so much other evidence that was so much more compelling (including examples of automatic writing, mathematical equations, additional photos and videos of UFOs and more) and plenty that wasn't (recorded phone calls from aliens, photos of aliens in his back yard that looked like nothing more than plaster dime-store garden gnomes, a purchase order for a computer bought for him by mysterious "helpers") that the final reveal - the little squash-headed "alien" blinking and staring into the house - just seemed to me like bullshit icing on a highly questionable birthday cake.

Setting aside any question of whether or not the footage is real or faked, Peckman's recent showing worked out well. It's gotten press all over the planet (and possibly beyond), and Peckman is the one getting all the ink. My question, though, is where's Stan in all this?

Oh, that's right. He's the one holding the video, refusing to post it to the web or allow it to be shown in public, accepting no sort of peer review or criticism beyond a few attempts at having the expurgated footage authenticated by local film experts. The reason? He's in the process of trying to complete (and sell) a documentary about himself: Starseed: The Stan Romanek Story, coming soon to theaters near you.

And to me, this is the most disturbing part. I understand the impulse to try and make a buck off what, if true, would be the biggest news story in history, but seriously? Some things are more important than a dollar. And if this video truly is as real as Romanek and Peckman claim it is, it needs to be released, in toto and immediately, so that everyone can have their look, have their say and make up their own minds as to whether or not "they" really are out there.

On November 15, 1990, the space shuttle Atlantis roared into the dark Florida sky on STS-38, the seventh dedicated mission for the Department of Defense. Of the ten classified shuttle missions conducted at the height of the program, STS-38 has been the subject of much speculation due to its secret cargo of two very unusual payloads. Tucked inside the shuttle's payload bay was a classified National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) communications satellite-known as Quasar-that would be used to relay data between intelligence spacecraft in low Earth orbit. But the Quasar payload, although highly classified, also served as a cover story for an even more exotic payload-a stealthy satellite inspection spacecraft, often referred to as "Prowler", designed to sneak up on other satellites undetected, photographing and measuring them in various ways.

The disclosure of the "secret" STS-38 patch raises the interesting possibility that other classified shuttle mission patches may also exist.

Although STS-38's operational secrets were cloaked at great effort and expense, subtler clues hinted at the mission's clandestine nature. The official mission patch for the flight (Figure 1) featured two nose-on images of a shuttle orbiter, with a white version on top and a dark version below. According to NASA's image description, "the top orbiter...symbolizes the continuing dynamic nature of the Space Shuttle Program. The bottom orbiter, a black and white mirror image, acknowledges the thousands of unheralded individuals who work behind the scenes...this mirror image symbolizes the importance of their contributions."

But NASA has never disclosed that there was also a "secret patch" designed for this mission: an emblem that had a darker border (Figure 2). Most notably, the shuttles were inverted, with the black orbiter-the classified mission-on top, and the white orbiter on the bottom. It was an inside joke by the all-military crew about the true nature of their mission.

Many shuttle crews have created unofficial humorous patches for their missions over the years. But the disclosure of the "secret" STS-38 patch raises the interesting possibility that other classified shuttle mission patches may also exist.

Lazar claimed that Element 115 had been discovered in conjunction with reverse-engineering alien technology at AREA-51. According to his Wikipedia entry, which quotes Lazar's website (see footnote 12):

In light of the above, it's interesting (and I'm no physicist, mind you) that the Science Daily article notes that Element 115 has led to "new insight into the structure and properties of super-heavy atomic nuclei." It doesn't say anything about proton bombardment or "anti-gravity." This link has the new element named ununpentium - as in The Facade, via Lazar's claim. However, the same article notes that "this isotope has a half-life of 160 milliseconds." No ununpentium pellets yet!

Lazar is, to say the least, controversial. While one would expect any service (of the sort he describes) at AREA-51 to be highly classified, but his academic credentials have gone unverified. He's also been in legal trouble with respect to personal conduct and his business, United Nuclear Scientific Equipment and Supplies.

It was out of the blue on a clear summer's afternoon when the UFOs came.

Retired RAF air traffic control supervisor Alan Turner, from Shrewsbury, remembers it only too well - it's a moment he has kept secret for more than 35 years.

"The radar room was completely darkened and you had the glow of the radar tubes and there were six people on three consoles, then myself and a duty NCO, plus the co-co-ordination team, so there were ten pairs of eyes in total," says Alan recalling the scene in the air traffic control operations room at RAF Sopley, Hampshire, in 1971.

"I was sitting at a desk waiting to see if anything might happen when I heard somebody shout 'What was that?' I leaned over to the chap who had shouted and he pointed to four blips coming into radar cover east of the Salisbury Plain danger area, an area where the military fire guns.

"We had blips coming into radar cover at 3,000 feet climbing very fast and tracking south east at speed, and you had six or seven of them, all climbing, with one in excess of 60,000 feet. It was constant for about 20 to 25 minutes - that means there would have been 35 to 40 of them."

Now aged 67, Alan says "UFOs are a fact and I don't care who knows" and is suspicious of the shroud of secrecy thrown up in the wake of his experience.

He says normally controllers would be told in advance of any aircraft flying in the area that might initially seem to be unexplained and which could cause alarm, but on this occasion there was no word, no explanation from the MoD.

As the supervisor of the control room, he immediately contacted Heathrow Airport to see if they knew anything.

"They could see the same thing," says Alan. "I contacted fighter control at Suffolk and they could see them as well."

At his home in Monkmoor, he tells how he scrambled a bomber to fly in and take a closer look. A quarter of a mile from the suspect objects the pilot became concerned, telling Alan over the radio: "I don't know what that was but it was shifting like the clappers."

Alan impounded the radar tapes and submitted his operations report to the squadron leader.

Everyone who'd been in the radar room that day was also filed reports on what they had seen and a couple of days later were summoned to an interview with two faced men who did not identify themselves.

"Everybody was interviewed separately and as supervisor I was first and last," Alan continues. "I was introduced to them as Flight Officer Turner - I had no idea who they were. We were all told later - in no uncertain terms - not to talk about it, so we didn't."

Of course, Shropshire has become a hotspot for UFO sightings and groups flock to the county, but on the whole these have been anecdotal and largely explained in some quarters as being aircraft taking part in military operations from one of the nearby RAF airbases.

On the wild side, there have even been reports of people claiming they have been abducted by aliens - not a belief that Alan subscribes, although when he delivers a keynote speech to the International UFO Conference tomorrow in Pontefract, West Yorkshire, he admits that he has been asked to meet one woman who says that just this happened to her.

Other people have reported unidentified lights in the sky that have been verified by independent sightings.

"Shropshire is a major area for aircraft training so you get a lot more activity - I'm sure 99 per cent of sightings can be explained but there's always that odd blip that can not."

With any so-called UFO sightings there are sceptics and theorists. Alan was taken to task by a professor at Sheffield University who claimed the 'blips' he witnessed were most probably Lightning aircraft.

"I wrote him three sides of A4 as to why they were not aircraft," he says, explaining that the MoD at the time had a total fleet of only around 40 and there wouldn't be a commander on earth who would fly the lot at the same time.

"And Lightnings are loud - are you telling me that Joe Public would not have heard something?"

Until recent weeks, Alan, who later rose to the rank of Wing Commander, has only talked about what he saw that day on his radar screen with close pals. He reveals that an RAF colleague from Church Stretton who manned the north of England radar had seen similar unknown objects on their screens - objects that "defied all logic".

He also knows people in the county "with all their brain cells in the right order" who have seen unexplained objects with the naked eye, and whose reports Alan believes in.

If he never talked about his own mystery sightings, his curiosity about them never waned. Now he wants the public to know that UFOs - whatever they are - quite possibly do exist.

"I had no idea what they were but I do keep an open mind - I tracked something that was unknown. I would like to think they were aircraft but I don't think it was. You cannot get that many in the same place without somebody knowing about it.

"I did not speak about it until I retired because of professional integrity. People look at you and say 'you are mad'.

"Well I'm not mad."

He adds: "I think it's arrogant to think that we are alone. I don't think we are but I've got no proof."
