A week before Christmas in 1966, then 23-year old Vincent and two buddies went to a winter fishing when they spotted something unusual in the sky. In a temperate winter weather in December, they were enjoying fishing in the area along the Hudson River, estimated to be 40 miles north of New York City.
In their eastern side was the Indian Point Nuclear Power Station, and Harriman State Park in their western position. While enjoying their fishing, they noticed something unusual in the sky near Lake Tiorati and Harriman forests.
Vincent describes the aerial object as bronze in color and moving without noise. He adds that the size was around 6 meters in diameter.
Vincent managed to take four pictures of the STRANGE FLYING OBJECT that night. Later, the Project Blue Book representatives from U.S. Air Force investigated the UFO sighting report and quickly considered the sighting photos as part of a hoax.
The National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena (NICAP) also conducted a study about the sighting by examining the photos and interviewing the three witnesses. Investigators from NICAP found no trace of any hoax.

AZTEC - The tall tale has it that 60 years ago this month, a UFO crashed in Hart Canyon, north of Aztec. Supposedly there were charred alien bodies aboard the craft, which was knocked out of the sky by a radar beam.
The Aztec Library began telling this story 11 years ago to raise money for a new building. With the story came national attention and the start of an annual UFO symposium.
The Aztec UFO Symposium opens Friday with a speakers meet-and-greet dinner. It will continue Saturday with internationally known speakers and vendors at the Aztec Masonic Lodge, 1020 N. Aztec Blvd.
The symposium began humbly with the work of Leanne Hathcock, librarian, and Scott Ramsey, a UFO investigator from North Carolina. Ramsey became a patron and assisted in finding reputable speakers.
"We've always been blessed with really good speakers, but this year is really exceptional," Ramsey said.
Since first reading about the March 1948 crash in a book, Ramsey has requested sealed documents, interviewed witnesses and worked on his own manuscript with the help of his wife, Suzanne Ninos, formerly of Farmington. The couple will present recent findings on the crash at the symposium.
"I always come to give new updates on Aztec," he said.
One of those updates includes interviews with friends and relatives of the late Rev. Autrey Brown, of the Mancos Baptist Church. Ramsey recently was contacted by a couple who knew Brown and his story of contact with military personnel after the reported crash of a saucer in Aztec.
"He called his closest friends together and talked about the commotion on Hart Canyon Road. He said he saw the craft, the bodies, and he was there when the military swore them to secrecy," Ramsey said.
Ramsey receives e-mails each week and follows up on the leads.
He recently received 268 documents from the FBI. Those were papers he previously was told did not exist. "They withheld 123 documents in the interest of national security," Ramsey said.
Other speakers include internationally known ufologist Stanton Friedman; Jesse Marcel Jr., whose father was one of the military officers at the purported Roswell crash; Timothy Good, of England, speaking on military intelligence and UFOs; Ted Phillips, a top investigator of physical trace evidence around UFOs; James Carrion, director of the International Mutual UFO Network; Duane Tudahl, producer of the History Channel's "UFO Files"; and Ken Storch, a law enforcement officer.
"The reason (the symposium remains successful) is we stick to our guns and bring in qualified scientific speakers," Ramsey said.
Friedman is a member of the scientific community, a nuclear physicist by profession. He believes interstellar travel is possible at the speed of light and that it doesn't take as long as some scientists say. He argues that the scientific community allows the government to hide the truth about space flight, flying saucers and extraterrestrials.
This will be the topic of his lecture and new book, "Flying Saucers and Science," published by New Page Books.
"The book is sort of my magnum opus," Friedman said. "I take off on the SETI movement. I call it Silly Effort to Investigate.'"
He will talk about press coverage of UFO sightings and opinion polls surrounding UFOs and life on other planets, which Friedman insists exists. In classrooms and at lectures, Friedman said "typically 10 percent of people think they saw a UFO, but very few report them."
Friedman said he is not a "closet ufologist," and most people do take him seriously.
"I've had 11 hecklers in 700 lectures," he said.
The meet-and-greet dinner Friday is 15 a person. Entrance to the two-day symposium is 30 per person or 20 for students and seniors. The police, military, firefighters and EMTs receive free admission.

Buff Ledge Camp in Vermont would be the site of a visitation by four UFOs which would appear, make revolutionary aerial maneuvers, and alter the lives of at least two young people. Buff Ledge was a girls camp located north of Burlington on Lake Champlain. During their tenure as summer camp employees, Michael Lapp, a sixteen year old maintenance man, and 19 year old water ski instructor Janet Cornell were relaxing at a boat dock on a slack day. On this particular August afternoon, the swim team had a made a trip to Burlington to compete in a meet, and the camp was virtually deserted. Late in the afternoon, the two friends were enjoying the view of the sun setting over the water, when a bright light appeared in the darkening sky.
At first, Michael thought they were being treated to a beautiful, close up view of the planet Venus. All of a sudden, the glowing light began to move downward, and ever closer to Michael and Janet. The object, at first a round glow, now began to flatten out as it came even closer. Michael shouted, "Wow! Venus is falling." As the two steadfastly watched the light, three smaller lights seemed to drop from the larger one, which quickly moved up and disappeared from sight. The three smaller objects began to move over the lake. They were obviously under intelligent control. The objects put on a show for Michael and Janet, doing zigzag maneuvers, loops, and then descended like falling leaves. The three objects now moved even closer to the two baffled teenagers. After forming a triangle, two of the objects pulled back. Michael would later recall a sound "like a thousand tuning forks" when the two left the third craft alone. The one remaining UFO passed over Michael and Janet, then shot upward and momentarily disappeared. It very soon reappeared, tilted to one side, and dropped into the lake. A couple of minutes seemed to pass before the object reemerged from the water, and began gliding straight toward them! The object was now close enough to see a transparent dome occupied by two childlike creatures. Michael would describe the beings as having elongated necks, big heads, and no hair. Their eyes were also large, and extended around the side of their heads. Michael began to sense a kind of mental communication with the two beings. Watching them intently, Michael slapped his knee, and to his surprise, one of the occupants mimicked his movement.
The craft now moved directly overhead, and shot a beam at Michael and Janet. Grabbing Janet's shoulder, Michael pulled both of them on their backs on the dock. Suddenly, Michael was overcome with the fear of being kidnapped. He remembers screaming, "We don't want to go!" The light from the beam was so bright that Michael recalls being able to see the bones in his hand, like an X-ray. The two teenagers both later related that the beam had a "liquid" feeling to it, and gave them the sense of free floating. Their next conscious thoughts would be that of staring at the object again from the dock. The sky was now totally black, and Michael wondered how long he had been in this one spot. Looking at Janet, he could see that she was in a trancelike state; drowsy and disoriented. They now heard the welcome sounds of the swim team returning from their meet in Burlington. The UFO now moved upward into the black sky, flashed its light beam repeatedly, and then vanished from sight. NOTE: The above image is a rendering

ONCE AGAIN, I HAVE RECEIVED AN EYEWITNESS SIGHTING REPORT OF A FLYING RAY-SHAPED CRYPTID. ARE THESE FLESH AND BLOOD CREATURES...OR SOME TYPE OF BIO-ENGINEERED UFO? THIS IS STILL A VERY BIZARRE PHENOMENON:
This is very hard for me to publicly write about. It was so, so strange and I have only told a few people because they just think you are crazy - when you tell them you 'saw a sting ray fly over the street from one bunch of trees to another.' I mean we are in Indiana - nowhere near the ocean for one thing but even if we lived by the ocean, why would a sting ray fly into trees?
Anyway, this is what I saw on my way to work one early fall morning around 6:30am - still not all the way light out but light enough, plus there are street lights up and down the way I drive to work. I am coming up to a 4 way stop, no cars around so I go. I am looking downhill kind of, following the street and seeing no cars. I kind of glance up a bit and see this huge sting ray looking thing fly from one side of the street, kind of like out of a group of trees and going over the street into another group of tree tops! I was astonished is the only word I can think of to described it - never had much of a reason to use that word but that sums it up! I was like OMG! OMG! Well I started praying Lord what was that? It was so weird. I felt like I wanted to cry. I was kind of afraid, many emotions ran through me after the initial astonishment. I kept asking myself did I really see what I just saw, over and over all the way to work. I kept thinking 'ok - did that just happen?!?!'
Well for days I could not stop thinking about it so I told a couple of people and they don't believe me - I know. Well I started to look at pictures on the internet to see what I might compare it to and I come across this huge Manta Ray picture and underneath it says "Devil Ray!' SO then I look up on the internet some things about demonic creatures slash sting rays and I come up with this whole bunch of stuff about water spirits so that is what I really think it was. For one brief moment I saw a demonic water spirit that has the form of a sting ray. Our town has been known to give people the feeling of a demonic hold or something and now I believe it. This town has all kinds of problems and if you look up these water spirits you can see what they bring. Anyway - that's what I saw and now I am seeing you have others that have seen the same thing. This makes me so happy that I am not CRAZY! Have you seen the strange creature in the tsunami video? I think that is the same thing! Thank you for posting these sightings. TS

The location was in Richmond, IN between S 16th & E Streets and S 12th & E Streets overhead. I was driving west on E Street.
It was grayish (shark-like) gray on top and whiter on the bottom, but it looked just like a giant sting ray gliding over the street. We lived in Florida for years and there are a lot of petting places that have star fish, sharks, turtles and sting rays so I have seen these things up close. It is hard to explain but you know how the edges of a sting ray like wave as it glides through water, well the edges of it were doing the same thing but through the air. I barely saw the long tail thing from the back as I was watching the edges of it wave and glide.
There is a river (East Fork - Whitewater River) - if you continue down E street west you would run in to it. Which would be S 1st Street. I go over the bridge to my work

The first Earth-like planet outside the solar system will have been discovered by the end of the year, one of the world's leading astronomers said yesterday.
Professor Michel Mayor, the scientist in charge of the team who detected the first extrasolar planet in 1995, claimed that the chance of finding a planet that is habitable for humans is now imminent.
The astronomer, of Geneva University, said that recent technological progress that allows the observation of planets outside the solar system now makes the prospect of locating a planet of a similar make-up to Earth extremely likely.

Professor Mayor said that Nasa's Kepler spacecraft is likely to be the first to locate the ideal planet to sustain human life because it is carrying the largest telescope to ever have been sent beyond the Earth's orbit.
The telescope, which is in orbit around the Sun, is monitoring more than 100,000 stars every half hour and is focused on a star field in the Orion spiral arm of the Milky Way.

As we near the 12 anniversary of what is commonly and erroneously labeled the Phoenix Lights, in retrospect it's difficult to believe so much time has passed; it seems as if it were only a couple of years ago that my wife and I witnessed the "Massive V-Shaped Craft" from our then home in Chandler Arizona; for almost 4400 days that image has been seared into my mind's eye. I still vividly remember the entire sighting, which occurred at 8:30 pm MST. I've been told on many occasions that over time, thoughts and memories fade and total recall starts to diminish. Well, not this one!
I still give thanks almost daily for being allowed the opportunity to view with my own eyes one of the greatest UFO sightings in history. We (my wife and I) were at the perfect angle at the right time and place to have the opportunity of a lifetime. Being able to witness a mile-long "alien craft," from which I believe comes from another dimension, has been by far the greatest visual experience of my 55 years of life on earth.
I'm not writing this to sway public opinion or change anyone's mind. I am writing this to express gratitude for what I was a part of and to publicly say, "Thank you Lord" for allowing me to see this for myself; something that we have been told all of our lives "does not exist!"
I first came forward on Saturday morning March 15, 1997, in a phone call to Mr. Walter Andress of MUFON in Sequin, Texas; from that point on I haven't stopped talking about this life-changing experience. I have met and shared our encounter with hundreds of other "eight o'clock witnesses" and the database is overwhelming as to the scope and magnitude of the event throughout the great state of Arizona. What was once thought of as a mere set of lights beginning near Kingman, is now known to be much larger in scale with multiple mile long V shaped objects, a massive 2 mile-wide triangle and a mile wide disc (and that's not all).
Not just one set of lights by a long shot!
It's a fact that the listening and viewing public have been lied to from the very beginning! Without a doubt the real story has never been told. This is what motivated me to write, The Non-Investigation of the Phoenix Lights. I have known from my very first interviews that the media (producers) do not care if the truth is ever told. They wish to sanitize the story so it is more believable (accepted) by the public. In other words; they change or don't report all the facts; thus, they lie to you. Because they feel that sometimes the truth is much too strong for the sheeple and the truth needs to be altered so we can sleep tonight without worrying about something we have no control of. Sickening, isn't it?
Concerning the Phoenix Lights case: "they" changed the facts and continually show the 10 PM flare videos (there are 6 of them) while interviewing the eight o'clock witnesses. This deception is a huge slap in the face to the witnesses of the "actual craft," and a total lie to any who read or watched the events and testimonies of The Massive UFO Flyover of Arizona, March 13, 1997. All one has to do is ask a non-witness about the Phoenix Lights sightings on March 13, 1997, and most will say, "Oh, yeah they were flares!" The eight o'clock witnesses just shake their heads left to right in frustration. The diversion has succeeded and the truth will probably never be told as minds have already been made up.
So, I ask myself, "What can I do?" Does anyone other than the witnesses really care? Does anyone know about or care about the MSTI-3 satellite that was disabled early on March 13th 1997? Does anyone care about the witnesses who watched in awe at 5:30 pm near Crown King, AZ., as 3 massive V shaped craft in daylight pancaked on top of each other"; then turned into a white ball of light and vanished as 2 fighter jets approached from the south? Does anyone care that the 8:16 pm MST witnesses in Paulden, AZ., included retired US Army Major named Lyle Vann, not a retired police officer as was written in summaries and books? Does anyone care about being "historically correct" as much as we possibly can? I do!
Does anyone care that drivers on I-17, I-10, US60 and many other highways and roads throughout the state pulled over and got out of their vehicles to watch in disbelief what was passing in their field of vision? Does anyone care if a little league game came to a halt as a massive craft silently passed overhead? And does anyone care if a police search and rescue team practicing in the north valley witnessed the same thing and the helicopter pilot absolutely refused to go up and check it out? What about the airborne flight instructor from Embry-Riddle? As he looked down he assumed there was a power outage, only to become aware of the massive V shaped craft passing under him; in his own words he stated, "I thought he was going to die!" Does anyone care? Does anyone care about the retired airline captain who claimed he could land his 737 on the wing of the massive V shaped craft? Again, does anyone really care?
I mean, after all it was just flares, right?
Throughout the past twelve years, I've looked back and realized just how lucky I've been. I mean I've done 2 episodes of Strange Universe, 2 documentaries for stations in Tokyo, Japan; I've also been privileged to do dozens of television interviews and at least 60 radio interviews. I was invited to do the Leeza Gibbons show, as well. How often does one get to fly to Los Angeles, get a limo ride to Paramount Studios, have your name on your door, a catered private lunch and get to meet Leeza! Wow! Well, I did. It was very cool indeed and one of the best times I've had.
I have for the most part always been open to share my experience-again without requiring compensation. There have been a few witnesses and or investigators who've penned books and or produced DVDs etc; however, making a buck hasn't been a precedence for me.
I did an interview with Dr Lynne Kitei for her book and DVD. Actually, I'm a large part of the video she sells and my 8:30 sighting is told in great detail. I do appreciate her for allowing me to do that. She asked me dozens of questions and allowed my views of March 13, 1997 to be told in my own words. I do not agree with her on her 10 PM video as UFO; rather I pretty much agree that those 10 pm videos are more than likely flares, intentionally ignited at high altitude (17,000') to create a diversion to take away attention from the earlier events of the massive crafts.
The strangest part of my association with Dr Lynne took place at a MUFON meeting in Mesa, AZ a couple months ago; she approached me and said, "I'm also an eight o'clock witness to the massive V shaped craft! I just never came forward because I didn't take any pictures!" What? So, for the last 11.5 years why have you been focused on the 10 pm video you shot, trying to divorce it from the other flare footage and claming it was of an authentic UFO? Most agree that the 10 pm videos are in fact flares, so now you claim to be an eight o'clock witness as well? Are you kidding me? And for the past 11.5 years with all your interviews, television and radio shows-you never made this claim! Now you are a witness to the large craft?
Does anyone else find this peculiar? Very early on, the majority of eight o'clock hour witnesses became cognizant of the disparity between the "large craft" cruising "low and slow," opposed to the distant lights up and beyond the Estrellas; to say that people were adamant about their "craft sighting," in contrast to flares would be an understatement! Dr. Lynne has fought tooth and nail for her "10:00 video" to be disassociated with flares-never during this time has she given any inkling that she observed the "craft" in the eight o'clock hour! I find this new revelation very curious to be polite.
One part of the March 13th massive statewide sightings that never really gets examined is the official statements made by the USAF and government pertaining to the events; they did not claim that the dropping of flares were responsible for the "earlier events" (eight o'clock hour). Instead what was said was this, "at no point in time was there a threat to the security of the United States". Thus, my interpretation would be that since there was no threat, then it (the UFOs) would be considered a friendly. The FOIA from Luke AFB did not call the earlier events as planes, flares, blimps, balloons, or any other man made objects. Instead the FOIA reports the USAF as calling the "objects" as unusual aerial sightings. They also report that no Luke AFB craft were involved in the "phenomena" reported on the night of 13 Mar 97.
Since our sighting nearly twelve years ago, my wife and I have become very good sky watchers. We have spent many hundreds of hours watching the skies for a return visit, hoping this time to get "it" (or them) on film. I really feel that what we got to see that night might be considered a "once in a lifetime" sighting and we have accepted that as a possibility. However, whenever outside no matter what the length of time might be, I am always aware of my surroundings and I still take a moment to scan the skies.
So, in closing I wish to say something from my heart, "I do not believe in UFOs or aliens-I know "they exist!"
