A new fictional movie explores the event of first contact with an intelligent extraterrestrial under the guise of a documentary film.
"The Visit" presents this first contact scenario in a very authentic manner, attempting to depict the real issues to be addressed during such an event. The film's documentary format provides an extremely realistic element to the situation that helps create this authentic feel.
Perhaps the film's greatest realistic element is the use of real people who might actually be the ones to deal with a first-contact situation. Scientists, military personnel, and government officials, including Mazlan Othman, director of the U.N. Office for Outer Space Affairs, appear in this film.

The movie's official description states:
Earth may not have been visited by aliens, but ever since the invention of radio and television, humans have been sending signals into outer space, announcing their existence to other civilizations, so the question is not 'what if' it happens, but rather 'when'. With unprecedented access to everyone from the Director of the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs to experts from NASA, ISU (International Space University), the SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) Institute, and military advisors, the film builds up a chillingly believable scenario of first contact on Earth, beginning with the simplest of questions: Why are you here? How do you think? What do you see in humans that we don't see in ourselves?
Although some firmly believe that extraterrestrials are already visiting Earth, and have for thousands of years, the official word is that first contact has yet to happen. So, "The Visit" takes this scenario and looks at various issues that would arise, ranging from government reaction to cultural impact.

The film's director, Michael Madsen, explains, "In case of such a visit we would at the very least be confronted with fundamental, unexplored, and perhaps even unthinkable questions about ourselves, and our place in the universe. My focus is the exploration of our likely reactions and precautions, as well as the consequences and implications of such an Alien encounter."

2009-Mystery surrounds an unidentified flying object spotted in the skies above Telford. Reader Robson Bolam sent us these pictures of a mystery object which he saw over Donnington. And he is at a loss as to explaining what it is he photographed. "The purpose of the current edition is twofold. First, it aims to show how experts from around the world, from different backgrounds, currently perceive the risks that the world is likely to face over the next decade. To capture these opinions, a survey was carried out, interviews were conducted with specialists in different fields, and a series of workshops and conference sessions were held with expert groups to interpret the research findings and to work out the three risk cases developed in the report. Second, with this report the World Economic Forum aims to continue to raise awareness about global risks, to stimulate thinking about how risks can be factored into strategy development, and to challenge global leaders to improve how they approach global risks. In the Forum's "Global Risks" report for 2013, the Forum collaborated with the journal "Nature" and identified five "X Factors," which they define as "serious issues, grounded in the latest scientific findings, but somewhat remote from what are generally seen as more immediate concerns." These X Factors are: Runaway Climate Change, Significant Cognitive Enhancement, Rogue Deployment of Geoengineering, Costs of Living Longer, and the Discovery of Alien Life. As the "Voice of Russia" reports, experts from the Forum contend that "given the pace of space exploration, it is increasingly conceivable that we may discover the existence of alien life or other planets that could support human life. In 10 years' time we may have evidence not only that Earth is not unique but also that life exists elsewhere in the universe."
The Forum points out these "X Factors" to encourage global leaders to "reflect on what countries or companies should be doing to anticipate them." This isn't the first time an international economic forum has discussed extraterrestrial life. In January 2011, business leaders from around the world met at the 5th annual Global Competitiveness Forum where UFOs and extraterrestrial life were among the topics discussed. Experts presented information during a panel session titled "Contact: Learning from Outer Space." The panel description read, "Using knowledge gained from research in the fields of Ufology and the search for extraterrestrial life, what might we possibly learn about hindrances to innovation in other areas of inquiry?" With the increasing advancements and discoveries in space exploration, the topic of extraterrestrial life will likely find its way on the agendas of an increasing number of global conferences in the near future.- OPEN MINDS.

The stringent security at Area 51 that anyone who tries to trespass, intentionally or unintentionally, could be killed only shows that there is something very important hidden inside the facility.
A man, who successfully broke into the security at the AREA 51, posted images of what he described as suspicious equipment being installed in the area. While inside the area, this man spotted new but strange constructions that seem to appear like solar panels if pointed to the sky. What made this equipment much interesting are the attached devices that look like fire extinguishers.
This trespasser said that there were signs of cabling or trenching along a trail to one of the Bald Mountain Gates.
The devices have very thick cable, which imply that they are powering something that is really big because it seems to show that lots of power is required. This may add to speculations that Area 51 could be hiding something extraordinary. Whether the government is hiding extraterrestrials, dead alien bodies or crashed alien UFOs or not, there is only one thing may be true, and that could be something new to the human eyes.

Believing in ET's is not in conflict with Christianity

MANILA, Philippines-Two successive news items in last week's Philippine Daily Inquirer caught my attention. The first was on May 15 where the Vatican's chief astronomer declared that believing in the existence of extraterrestrial creatures (ET's) is not in conflict with Christianity.
The second was the news item the following day, May 16, saying the British defense department released a formerly classified file showing that aliens from outer space have been visiting the earth for many years now.
In an interview with the Vatican newspaper, Rev. Jose Gabriel Funes, a 45-year-old Jesuit priest who heads the Vatican Observatory was quoted as saying, "How can we exclude that life has developed elsewhere... certainly, in a universe this big, you can't exclude this hypothesis. Just as there is a multiplicity of creatures on earth, there can be other beings, even intelligent, created by God."
The declassified UFO files of the British defense department, according to the Philippine Daily Inquirer news item, included a 1983 report from a 78-year-old man out fishing at midnight who followed aliens in green overalls to their spaceship and was told to go away because he was too old and decrepit for their purpose. The ministry has files of 11,000 sightings dating back to 1950's. The existence of aliens from outer space visiting earth has consistently been officially denied by the US military establishment up to now, despite massive evidence to the contrary. This, despite the opinion of some highly respected American astronomers, like Dr. J. Allen Hynek of Yale University who believes in the possibility of intelligent alien life forms in other galaxies.
"I BELIEVE IN UFO'S BECAUSE I'VE PERSONALLY SEEN SEVERAL SUCH SPACE CRAFTS MYSELF." And I have read about very credible stories told by authorities and professional people who have no reason to make up such stories about them. Some of the opposition for such belief in alien existence is religious in nature. Now that a Vatican astronomer himself has expressed belief in aliens, this should dispel some doubts about their reality.
Actually, even the Christian Bible itself gives a very vivid account of an alien encounter by the prophet and priest Ezekiel which is related in the very first chapter of this part of the Bible.
ET in America
About 15 years ago, an American graduate student in San Francisco wrote a Ph.D. thesis showing that aliens have been living on earth for hundreds of thousands of years now and have adopted earth personalities and habits. In his book "From Elsewhere, Being ET in America," researcher Scott Mandelkar even included a questionnaire which would indicate whether one is an alien or not.
In my Soulmates, Karma and Reincarnation seminar, I have come across at least two students of mine whose past lives were not from earth but from some other galaxies in outer space. Many times, such aliens among us have contributed new knowledge or invented new products that would help ease life on the planet.
I have been told that the Vatican keeps in its secret vaults a skull of an alien with big head and diamond-shaped eyes. Somebody in fact had sent me a picture of such mysterious skull through my cell phone. It is of course very difficult to verify the veracity of such a picture but it looks like the usual image we have of ET's.
Erich Von Daniken in the 1950's or 60's was the first to popularize belief of alien visitation of earth through his very popular books, beginning with "Chariots of the Gods." The book was even made into a movie and created a cult following. But Daniken was later criticized by serious scholars for his questionable research, methodology and for his tendency to exaggerate his findings to fit his preconceived theories.
Other authors followed suit and made their own research. One of them was Andrew Thomas who wrote the book "We are Not the First" which showed that some ancient peoples already had invented computers, batteries, electricity and even airplane models.
Alien abduction stories began appearing in the west. They tell of how creatures from outer space abducted them, examined them in their laboratories and then erased their memories of the abduction. Through hypnosis, they remembered everything. One of the most celebrated alien abductions was that of Betty and Barney Hill. Their story is told in a book entitled "Interrupted Journey" by John G. Fuller. Then came journalist Whitely Strieber's books on the same theme, beginning with "Communion," about his close encounters with alien creatures who had abducted him and brought him to their spaceships.
In the Philippines there are also numerous sightings of UFO's in the sky but rarely do I hear of alien abduction of Filipinos. It seems the aliens visiting the west are different from those visiting the Philippines and other Asian countries. Here we do not experience cattle mutilations or aliens experimenting on humans. We are lucky in this sense.
